Half the forum were crowning us as revitalised after that
Us realists could see there was a way to go still
January is the worst time to try and do major surgery on a squad but it's badly needed here. So many piss takers who need bombing out and replacing with players we can trust to consistently perform to an acceptable minimum standard.

Collins however really should never play again. I haven't had such little faith in a City keeper for a long time, even Burge for his madness did at least keep shots out.

Other than selecting Collins you can’t put this on Lampard. He’s inherited a squad with no defence. I’d like to know how he continues with Binks over Kitching but he can’t be blamed for previous defensive recruitment.
He also keeps starting MVE who has been taking the piss with his performances most of the season, because we have no recognised alternative except perhaps Lati.

Yup, January is not the best time to wheel and deal, but I feel it's ab absolute necessity for us to try. We simply have to.

The defensive errors are just piling up.

I am not sure what we do with goalkeepers, Moore was initially excellent and Collins was fairly decent.

Collins can't catch the ball and lets shots through his hands. On the few times he does make a save he tends to parry it back towards goal too.

That is just schoolboy stuff and you do wonder what he's being told to do. Every game Dovin continues not to play he must be wishing he'd never signed here.

So when Robins finished 9th with this squad it was “taxi for Robins” and when Lampard loses 4-1 with the same personnel it’s “obviously not tactical. It’s the personnel”. 😂😂 got it. No agendas or anything though eh 👍

We didn’t finish 9th with the squad and it’s irrelevant. Adams finished 7th then was fired when results declined the following season

The players we have signed are poor or were signed to play in formations we don’t play.

There were only 3 players in the lineup that are new signings. If Wright was fit it would have been two.

It's not a wildly different squad. Players that were good last year have regressed.

The 11 players that played the most league minutes last season are all still with us. 90% of the squad is the same as last season. We finished 9th.

I don’t remember you ever absolving tactics when we lost by saying it was nothing to do with tactics and solely because of the players. I’m just pointing out the most blatant piece of hypocrisy on this platform and that’s saying something for this place.

Made Portsmouth look like Brazil and they are garbage. They could have scored 6/7 2nd half. Shambles.

We couldn’t cope with and without the ball

I've been saying for weeks that our shape away from home is so easy to play through.
Two wide men men leave acres of space inside and behind and isolate the striker.
A shocking lack of midfield cover for our CBs with only an out of form Sheaf wandering around front of them.

What does Sheaf offer, other than passing the ball to the opposition? Can he get his form back so that we can at least get a few million for him in the summer? You wouldn't get more than 3 million for him at the minute

Dasilva's defending and positioning, is just awful at times.

Gets the wrong side of players, gets brushed off the ball too easily and so often makes such a weak effort to prevent a shot or cross coming in.

Said at the beginning of the season you're not going to get into the playoffs with Dasilva at left back.

It does make you wonder what Managers see in him, I include Robins and Lampard in that.

You take today why the hell didn't Bidwell play, was he injured? If so why was he on the bench.

At the beginning of the season in the prediction League, where we would finish, I said I'd be happy with 4th from bottom. I'd take that right now.

c**t never came over and acknowledged us either. Robins always did regardless of result.

People were deluding themselves into thinking we’d gotten better because we beat the worst team in the league, beat a seriously depleted Millwall side and scraped a draw at home with a team who haven’t won in 7 games. Reality is there has been little to no improvement.

I think this is just an emotional response after the game. Certain things have improved - the manner and timing of the goals today have ruined it completely. First 15 minutes we looked very good. Defence/goalkeeping is massively letting this team down.

We got rid of them.

And I don't care what anyone says, it was on King.
Hopefully he acknowledges his error and let's Lampard recruit some experience
Edit - and just to clarify, I'm talking about those type of players rather than the actual players
I'm not being argumentative but why was that on King ? Do you know for a fact that Robins had nothing to fo with them leaving? He did with Adi so why not them also ?
