Apparently they’re in talks with us now.

Galatasaray is in talks with the English team for right-back Milan van Ewijk, who plays for Championship team Coventry City.

Turkish top club Galatasaray has reported to Coventry City in England for defender Milan van Ewijk from Amsterdam. 'Gala' would like to bring the talented right-hander to Istanbul. This is confirmed by well-established sources on Thursday to SoccerNews.

Galatasaray aims at right-back of Coventry City

Both clubs are now negotiating with each other in the deepest secrecy about a transfer fee for the former defender of sc Heerenveen and ADO The Hague, among others. If this transfer window is actually reached, Van Ewijk – who has been informed about the Turkish interest – will talk to the former club of record international Wesley Sneijder himself.

Interest Feyenoord and PSV

The 24-year-old Van Ewijk, who was still in the strong interest of Feyenoord and PSV last summer, but was not allowed to leave Coventry City at the time, has a starting place at the club that is on the English second level. His contract runs until mid-2027. Galatasaray is the number one title candidate in Turkey and currently leads the ranking.

Galatasaray has entered into negotiations with Coventry City for the potential transfer of Milan van Ewijk. The two clubs are in discussions over the transfer fee, with details being kept confidential. Should the clubs come to an agreement, Galatasaray is anticipated to reach out to the Dutch right-back, who is informed about the offer. Coventry City had previously secured Van Ewijk from Heerenveen for 4.3 million Euros in the summer of 2023, and despite interest shown by Feyenoord and PSV, they retained him. Van Ewijk, who has recorded 1 goal and 1 assist in 27 matches this season, remains under contract with Coventry until June 2027.

To be fair on Milan, it makes sense doesn’t it. We apparently according to Jimmy talking to a right back, according to Gimoc he’s unsettled due to his family.

Get some money for him and start the rebuild or get the funds ready for the sunmer

Wouldn't have wanted him gone in the summer but weirdly ok with it now. I feel the money would benefit us more, depending on the fee of course.

Hello Sky Blues Talk

The first part of my article suggesting a January signing for every Championship club includes Coventry. Perhaps a slightly left-field choice but interested to see if you agree the player I've picked is in a position that needs reinforcements?

It’s a weird one left centre back only as we’ve got two on the books who are relatively young. Interesting choice I don’t know much about but feel experience is the key for this window.

Happy to let him go if we get good money for him. With our current financial position we don't need to sell, so expect to make a good return on our £4mill.

interesting, comments about selling MVE cause is not in form atm is bonkers, you've all seen how good he can be, why would you want to choose to sell such a good player just for cash?

people also said sell wright cause we'll get £15m +/- , Cash does not equal a quality side, we need some stability in the side, bring in some new faces to add to what we have, not another rebuild.

When did Lampard say it’s a top 6 squad?
Maybe he didn't say top 6 like King did but he said it's a talented squad & a well balanced squad.

Back to the thread. It's clear with MvE, his head has dropped & performances suffered. With no backup in the squad he has played all but 27mins this season too which won't help.

If he's set on going then we have no choice but to cash in but would warrant a decent profit & would need 2 new RBs in ASAP.

Absolute joke, selling probably our best player and we’re already weak and struggling, I can’t believe what is happening to our club it’s an absolute shambles from top to bottom. All the goodness is slowly fading, cheers Doug king you absolute clown

If we can sell him and obviously replace him and get a couple more in then I think it would be ideal.

Yeah, I have seen in a few games how good he "can be" but if he doesn't want to be here and is clearly not anywhere near the "can be" then why not?
