Lati is targeted for pressure because he's MORE comfortable on the ball?

No Idea Reaction GIF by Busythings
Yeah it makes sense to me that you’d press the person better on the ball to force him to lose it or move it quicker, than to press the person shit on the ball that makes unforced errors at which you can block into shape limiting his options meaning he overthinks and gives the ball away

This. All the cards. We actually are likely to have a pretty large pot come summer. MVE, sheaf and potentially wright - add in viktor and maybe Hamer sell on. And not forgetting and additional Lati + out favour /out contract moves?

that could fund huge turnover. All isn’t lost, but we won’t likely get another go after this.

Some people also seem to have forgotton, moving players on for profit is the model !!! So when it happens can’t moan!
Granted you don’t do it in masssive chunks ideally!
We had a large pot from Hamer and Vik, but using it well is difficult especially when signing >6 players

Totally agree, clear a few “heads” had gone after August and late deals . And thinking back didn’t Mark make some comments at end of season about players being committed / agents agitating etc…..

sad to probably right season off, but we should be planning now for the summer and revamp. The big revamp!! Also think we have another year option on wright in our favour, so if he goes it’s big big money (over double what we paid and some)

as you say, hopefully enough in this month to see us through also.

When did he make the “stepping stone” comment? Was that last summer too?

You're missing the point, he rarely gives it away because he's incredibly risk averse with his touches and passes and plays it safe all the time.

Lati gonna be playing in a Champions League final and someone on here will post about how it doesn’t count cos it’s the worst Champions League ever.

The commitment to refuse to concede a single thing about him might be good in the face of any and all evidence is actually quite impressive.

Statistically Thomas is better than him in basically every possession stat from what I can see.

More touches, more carries, more progressive carry distance, more passes, more progressive pass distance.

Maybe still buy MvE 🤔

Bid for Johanssen, get the loan CBs back (unlikely but we’re playing let’s pretend)

Johanssen
McNally Fadz Doyle
MvE Sheaf Hamer ???
O’Hare
ST ST

May be doable on £20m? I dunno. Probably £8m on new contracts but amortised over four years so say £2m. Another £2-3M on loan fees. £4m for MvE. £2m for Johanssen. Leaves you with £9m for two strikers and a LWB. Maybe.

Apart from actually keeping possession of course.

You can admit he’s better in one area. It won’t hurt I promise.

We’ve signed 17-18 new players since 22/23 we’ve had to do some serious rebuilding. It’s not just a case of replacing 2 starters with 4-5 players… it’s been needed to be spread over an entire new squad.

It’s not actually that much money to spend per player.

Sign 2 players from our bogey teams in hope it breaks the curse... I think Darling would be a good signing tbf

Signing Latibeaudiere, Bidwell and Gyökeres did not help us beat the Swansea hoodoo.

BTA didn’t change our fortunes over West Brom

And the only player I remember us getting from Preston in recent years was Seani Maguire.

End of last season. He also made comments after the summer transfer window closed about agents agitating for moves and players having to suck it up and get on with their jobs. SB linked the stepping stones comment to Kitching but there were probs others. Robin did also note Simms was unsettled by us bringing in strikers.

Wants to move to the interested club. As do a few others
Nope, it's actually one thing Doug said at the fans forum that wasn't bollocks

The premier league dream that was sold to them 18 months ago has as much chance of happening as Andrew Tate becoming PM

If this is correct then it seems to me they're basically saying 'this team isn't up to scratch, my team mates aren't up to scratch, get me out of here'

Can't think of too many who are justified in having that attitude.

71st percentile for progressive carries vs Champ CBs is close to good, although maybe slightly warped by his games at RB where he would have more scope to carry the ball. Eye test and metrics show he's a below average CB in this league. Seems like a nice guy but for 1 million plus, he should be sold.

No it’s saying i want to play at a higher level and my agent tells me there are clubs at a higher level that want me and will pay me much more money if i go there.

We may not like it but it’s the way football works and we pay Austin to find players who are happy at their current clubs and persuade their agents that they would be even happier at our club if they moved !.

Let’s not be hypocrites about it.

If I was wright I would want out, our recruitment has been shocking and is nowhere near matching a players ambition of playing in the premier league. Doug the fraud needs to spend some of his own money like he promised us all the ‘dream big aim high’
dull and blocked for post the same fucking post 99 times a day
