Transfer Rumour January transfer window (153 Viewers)

If he doesn’t need the job for cash he needs it for respect. Lampard wants to manage. He doesn’t want to be a failure. No one was hiring him until us. He will have been glad to get a job and not in a position to turn us down over transfer demands. That’s my point.

Can you list the teams he applied for but got turned down?

You are just making things up again, you have zero clue what his demands were / are.

OK mate. Maybe he just really got into playing Factorio for a year, or came down with short term agoraphobia. You’re right.

Meanwhile maybe it had something to do with him being statistically one of the worst managers Chelsea ever had:

Picking one job he has had to try to prove your point. He got a team to a play off final, an fa cup final and a top 4 premier league finish. Do those stats become irrelevant to you?

What's your point? Do you know how many jobs he has applied for and been rejected or is it just some fantasy thing you have got stuck in your head and have to say over and over?

Let's face it, you have zero clue what jobs he has applied for and what he has been turned down for but it doesn't fit so you just make out he's sat at home on the dole ringing round with his CV in desperation.

It's the same when you go on about coaches and what they do at Ryton, you have zero clue who does what but it doesn't fit with the obsessive agenda you keep banging on about.

In a nutshell. Each to their own & fair enough but this is where I am and hopefully I’m wrong.

I know I give him shit but I really was prepared to be wrong and him to be a decent manager. When people told me on here he was I went and watched and read everything I could about his previous roles and came back concerned that he’s tactically naive, unable to motivate players, and relies on having a team full of players better than the opposition to win games. I read fans forums from after he’d gone and most Derby fans thought he was shit and massively overspent to achieve the same as they were the season prior. Chelsea and Everton fans thought he was poor and the instantly improved once he’d gone.

Despite all that I still hoped he’d just got a bad rap and we’d see him bring some top level ideas and coaching to us.

Instead all I’ve seen is him true to form: reliant on one tactic, unable to best teams without it having overpowered players, unable to motivate a group, and now the fans are saying he needs to spend loads of money before we can decide. Meanwhile it seems the players who actually work with him all want to leave.

Still hope he proves me wrong, but i also hope Christina Aguilera comes to her senses, pops over to Bedworth and proposes. I won’t be booking the wedding venue just yet.

71st percentile for progressive carries vs Champ CBs is close to good, although maybe slightly warped by his games at RB where he would have more scope to carry the ball. Eye test and metrics show he's a below average CB in this league. Seems like a nice guy but for 1 million plus, he should be sold.
Where does he rank in terms of errors/unforced errors? However those metrics are actually defined.

Helik has signed on the dotted line and will be announced before the match this weekend.

Now, do I actually have good information or am I just trying to derail the slapping match about Lampard's record?

Genuinely not a dig, but by this measure Avram Grant is better than Mourinho, and their Champions League winning manager is third worst. Means little without taking into account the wider context, imho.

That’s fair. Just another data point as to why I’m skeptical. I genuinely do hope he can turn it around here. I’ve got no faith in King to appoint anyone better and I don’t want us back to the bad old days of the early 2000s.

Any one of those managers would be amazing for us…

His 9% in his second spell distorts that picture too.

Would you all stop crying about his record ffs. If he did well at Chelsea…guess what? He wouldn’t be here.

Would Robins have done well at Chelsea? Or any of the other managers linked with the job?

Get behind him and get on with it. Too many people looking for someone to blame and at the moment, it quite simply isn’t him.

He visited various top clubs and studied their coaching techniques.
