Did we sell him to the team JH invested in ie did we actually get the money ?I would have said Gary Collier, 325,000 in about 1979 and played 2 games....however 7 months later we sold him for 365,000 to some American team, so perhaps not such a disaster after all.
did we ever pay a fee for Joe Cole?
Even if not deserves a call out
Keith O'Neil and Stefano Gioacchini have got to be up there!
If that's how it works then Kevin Kyle is exempt because of that last minute winner at QPRFor sure his legs had gone and he was past it, but I think he trumps the rest on this thread by virtue of that free kick alone.
Nah Kyle cost us miles more and was at much greater detriment to the side than Cole in terms of what we could have done with his transfer fee instead! If that's how it works then Kevin Kyle is exempt because of that last minute winner at QPR

To an extent I'd maybe agree. But add to that we had 2 keepers with little to none experience, no defensive cover for when Reda inevitably got injured, constantly picking players/the same starting 11 regardless of how poor/well they were playing and absolutely NO plan B whatsoever. But yes, Joe Cole clearly cost us the play offs that season!I think the Joe Cole experiment might've cost us the playoffs.
Keith O’neill all day long,Poor excuse for a footballer whoever scouted him needs his guide dog back!!
Firstly, you do realise you agreed with me in your first sentence right? But yes, Joe Cole clearly cost us the play offs that season!
