Brilliant signing.

We're some posters who said he's shit and only plays cos robins loves him just a few weeks ago. I think that might have just been frustration at a bad result being taken out on him though. Or perhaps not wanting to see him in midfield for even a second.

For me he is a steady Eddie in every position he plays and big part of our success this year.
Robins master plan was of course long term a back 3 of Latabadieure RCB Thomas CB KItching LCB with MVE and Da Silva wing backs. I think Sakamoto was bought as a no.10 initially as i suspect they thought Ohare may move on. Of course as things have transpired Sakamoto and Wright seem much better in a 4-2-3-1 and Da Silva has not worked and Bidwell i s better in a back four as an orthodox FB. I dont mind 4 CBs in Kitching Binks Thomas and Latabadieure fighting for 2 spots and at the moment i wonder how Thomas and latabadieure would do together.
Pre season will be the chance Robins gets to try all these combinations (i think we will sign Binks as it happens)

He's no kyle mcfadzean , and unfortunately this team needs a better centre half than joel .. but I can appreciate he gives 100% and atm that's needed

Spot on.

I like his attitude and he's one of the few leaders we have, but I think he's one of the more obvious players we need to upgrade.

He is really good. Reads the game well. Combative, One of our better communicators. He often has a go at players for a lack of movement in front of him without throwing his toys out of the pram.

Got a mistake in him and he worries me at times but I feel he’s improving within the team. Think if they drag the best out of each other the team will start getting positive results!

Every player has a mistake in them. If you don't make mistakes you are not really in the game. You are not trying to be creative.

Not long in from having a pint, was a surprising amount of love for Lati among the people I was chatting with.
Didn't quite see it myself, not that I thought he was bad.

He does have a bit of snap in the challenge which we generally lack. Gives 100% and can defend. Just avoid giving him the ball.

He's ok in a back 3 to be fair but I'm not 100% convinced we'll stick out that formation. He's not great at RB or RCB in a back 4 and the less said about him in midfield the better.
Basically in the one formation he's useful.

I think we will stick with that formation, at least for a while.
Not sure where that leaves Saka and EMC.

He is good in the tackle but that's about it, mobility is shocking and he's very awkward on the ball. Having him start regularly is an issue for us.

Unfortunately he’s one of about three players that actually give a shit.

Good lad and definitely someone I would want around the squad. If it was my decision, he would be a bench back up for Thomas or Milan and a rotation option for either.

Would also be a shout for Captain or Vice Captain to be honest. Think this will be one of the first things to change with the new manager.

Sadly very true. He is a great utility player but jack of all trades master of none does come to mind
There’s a bit of a compliment and an insult in there. I’m reading into that; a player that every club wants, but not necessarily in the first team. More of a sub….
Feel free to correct me.

With no knowledge of what any of the players are like behind closed doors I would like to see Eccles take the captaincy. Local lad, just committed to the club and seems to be more aggressive/assertive these days. Needs to stop getting booked though.

I think it distracts Eccles TBH.

Don’t think Eccles is the guy for Captain yet. Great head but think he’s not type of personality (least from what I see).

We should be looking to keep developing him and I think it will come. Lati on the overhand has captained several sides has a sense of responsibility about him and drive. Sometimes the best players in the teams aren’t the leaders and I think Ben is struggling.

Even yesterday Latis interview for Sky seemed the sort, the club captain should be undertaking.

Also to be clear Binks, Bidwell or Lati would be my choices but I don’t know enough of the behind the scenes like you say.
