Manchester Airport Incident (3 Viewers)

It's so annoying. The perpetrators clearly behaved appallingly and it could gave been all about that if the copper hadn't kicked the one in the head and then stamped on his head.

It's deflected the whole incident.

I get the police being allowed to respond, but when the guy was on the floor and restrained, that should have been the end of it.

Feel sorry for the police, but you can't behave like that unfortunately. They are highly trained to handle such situations.

Then it’s a classic case of fuck around and find out. I don't have any sympathy.

Can’t imagine that’s written into the police code of conduct.

Anyway, I expect the officer will still be disciplined, possibly even sacked, for failing to show restraint. That said, put me in that situation and I’d probably do the same (in fact, I’d have probably been one of the officers spark out on the floor!).

Said in the Gillingham thread that I am very dubious of video footage released like the initial video because no one is ever recording at the start of an incident, so context is lost. Those two should be banged up for a long time. I’d also be in favour of locking up the solicitor just because he looks like a fucking bellend.

I don't agree I'm afraid Otis. I know where you're coming from, but if you've ever been in a situation where you're being attacked, particularly as intense as that was, you're going to do whatever you can to incapacitate the threat.

It was though when he was pinned on the floor wasn't it?

Have to say, I haven't seen the full footage. Just the kick to the head when he was pinned down, so maybe I am missing something.

That's the thing isn't it, everyone knew there was more to it and people were banging on about how the other footage should be released.
But the official CCTV was given to the police by the airport authorities, the footage of the stamp was recorded and uploaded by the mates or family of the lads involved.

The police aren't going to stick footage on Facebook so everyone's going on a short clip, which like you say, has no context.

I would advise you to watch it and it might give you a different perspective. Anyone saying the copper should have held himself back have never been in a life threatening situation like that. As others have said, the 'victims' are lucky they got away with a boot to the head.

How can it be the end of it? He could have got up, his brother could have laid into them again?

They were armed police. They were highly trained enough to not shoot them in the head and had to make sure nobody could take their weapons.

It was their mate filming it who deflected what actually happened, the media and the pathetic protests.

Surely they have to be charged? If they get away with it, it just says that if you get a hate mob outside the police station you can do what you want.
I will be amazed if they aren't charged with assaulting a police officer.

Race riots on the streets by the time the years out I reckon

I should rephrase actually, not race riots.

Sikhs, Hindus, Black people etc have all integrated very well into Britain over the decades and have made us better as a country

There are a certain demographic (not all before anyone claims the race card) that have no interest in integration and bettering of the country, mainly in the Romanian and certain sections of the Muslim community

I am not a supporter of Stephen Yaxley Lennon, however today I saw pictures and videos of the March in London, and I was very surprised by the amount of people of colour and different religions donning the union jack and saying things that if said by a white person, they would instantly be called 'racist'.

It's simmering over in the larger cities, London, Birmingham, Manchester etc and I feel one incident will light a powderkeg

It's obvious how it works though? He says the media spin things and show one side and then they do exactly that.

He makes people think "ah yeah he has a point" but then unloads all of his other nonsense.

He knocks about with terrorists, has been an illegal immigrant and doesn't live here any more.
If people want yo follow him fine, but I think that's hypocrisy writ large.

I’m willing to hedge my bets that almost half of the people at the March today have problems with all minorities

in most countries in an airport they’d have been shot dead.

Can you not see why people do? I'm not saying it's right.

Same with his two tier policing stuff, how are those people sat comfy at home and not on demand?

Throws some stuff that sticks.

Yes, but that isn’t Nick’s point. There are people out there not blessed with brilliant critical thinking skills, so they see something like this, they listen to the narrative TR spouts and they side with it. Yes, they’re idiots, but the rest of society has a responsibility to call out what actually happened.

Okay.

I have only seen the BBC footage and then this new footage on here today.
It's his mum that's near him I assume.

Same woman they said was hit by a copper to act the victims. Ironically it was her son that whacked her .

Strangest bit is somebody saying "stop it, he hasn't done anything" 🤣🤣

How old are you?
I'm asking because blacks and Sikhs went through the same shit, Id imagine you can't remember it. But there were a lot of similarities

Might sound stupid, Ive thought this for a long time, but both those communities drink, and eventually and lot of differences were put right over a pint.

That's obviously not going to happen as much with Muslim communities.

It's alright, the youth of today prefer a coffee shop anyway!

I get it now Ive read Andys post, and it's a fair comment, but its still hypocritical of them as far as I'm concerned.
