We waited years, and I mean years to compete again... Such a weird fanbase honestly.
I'm sure some would like the 17 year manager merry go round we previously had
It’s only a couple of divs. Wouldn’t worry about it.

Some people would rather the club fail than be proved wrong. We waited years, and I mean years to compete again... Such a weird fanbase honestly.

Was your new profile pic taken immediately after you posted that bee gee message?
To be fair, I'd have looked that smug if I'd thought of it.
With more than a little help from a Mr Dennis Wise.Micky Adams got us to 8th in the Championship

It is indeed. Adams was lucky as Wise papered over the cracks and almost single handily propelled us to 8th in his half season with us.Well it is kind of the point of a signing - to improve the team

I suppose you could say the same about McNulty. Up until the Cheltenham home game he had only scored 4 goals and we were outside the play offs
This is very true. I think it was Plymouth at home where changes were forced on him through injury, he brought Hutchison on and stumbled upon a winning formation, and we went on a decent run after that. Unless he had no choice Adams had one incredibly rigid and inflexible way of playing (based on toil, graft and strength), and he was completely unable to change or adapt. He even admits as much in his own book, which reads like it was penned by Mike Bassett with all the talk of grit, passion, determination, battling & the paucity of any focus on skill & tactics. It is indeed. Completely false, there was no luck involved. I even remember the outcry on gmk etc after that Plymouth game where it was worryingly obvious that Adams had no idea how to change things and had literally stumbled on a winning formation.I suppose you could say the same about McNulty. Plus we made money on McNulty, part of an evolving plan & we’ve developed ever since- how can you class Denis Wise and Don Hutchison as part of a progressive plan? You can’t. Adams had no plan, apart from our muscling and outrunning the opposition.
Pretty much where we were anyway seeing as McGoldrick left 3 months after Robins joined. In Robins first spell where would we have been without McGoldrick
It is interesting such a tactical inept manager like Adams has achieved more in his managerial career than Robins

To be honest all these inaccuracies and falsehoods are taking away from whatever argument you’re making, which seem to be that Adams, Presley and Sam Allardyce are better CCFC managers than Mark Robins.
I don’t know what WUM is, explain yourself and I will confirm either way.You must be a WUM account

In 2012/13 his Port Vale team finished third in L2 which is better than what Robins achieved at Cov? He then got them to 9th in L1 the following season?
Isn’t that better than Robins last 2 full seasons here? At a much smaller club too
Ah ok- no I’m not, at least not on purpose. But all these weird theories and errors being used to pretend that Micky Adams, Stephen Presley and even people who were never at our club were better for us than Mark Robins- not gonna let that go without correcting a few people with very short memories.Wind Up Merchant.
Old person for troll.
2012/2013, great. Read Adams’ book- he had money and a good chairman, he said he was backed all the way and had stability. And Robins got us to 8th in L1 after getting promoted, which is better than 9th, at least to most sane people.
Weirdest thread ever.
Robins could get us promoted from the championship next year and we'd still have people saying 'yeah but McNulty' 'yeah but look how much he spent' 'yeah but remember that bad signing he made a few years ago?' 'yeah but remember when Russell Slade was a good manager in 2006?'
you are not wrong. The agenda here is unclear apart from I assume it’s a couple of bitter blokes who are feeling a bit silly that their “taxi for Robins” trolling has been shown to be extravagantly misguided and aren’t willing to agree that he’s doing a superb job in very trying circumstances- without uttering one word of complaint or offering a single excuse.
So Adams the dinosaur who plays outdated football gets similar results as Robins?
In Robins first spell where would we have been without McGoldrick
What's with the Micky Adams obsession?
So he did a good job at a few clubs a long time ago, great. Who cares? Robins is doing a brilliant job here now, that's surely something to enjoy, not pick faults with.
Actually as I’ve pointed out before you said Robins has “no funds to buy players” - you then spent the next hour trying to convince everyone he’s spent no money
Do you think Liverpool fans are on a forum somewhere reminiscing about how good a manager Roy Hodgson or Gérard Houlier were 15 years ago?
Or do you think they are content with their best and most successful manager in years?
I know as Coventry fans we aren't used to (relative) success and so it's new and unusual for us, but why must some try and pick fault in everything, even during the good times?

He won’t have a clue. What would Real Madrid be like without Ronaldo, or Messi at Barcelona...
Also, how many goals did McGoldrick score before Robins came in?
Robins does not have any transfer funds, he has to generate funds himself by smart management, something no other manager has managed to do with us for a long time.
Can you name our signings so far in the January window?
You just don’t like the guy and for some weird and wonderful reason known only to yourself you refuse to give the proper credit.
