I don't need to hide behind any excuses, I pick and choose these days when I go up, why? Because I can. I've had a season ticket for 15 years in succession in the past, but now I go when I want regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. I went Tuesday, I didn't go yesterday. Do I care what people think? Not one iota. I hope that's cleared it up in case any of you think I give a toss what you think.
Using populations of areas can be misleading though. Using that logic Leeds Utd are one of the worst supported teams in the country.
You clearly cared enough to post it
We can only deal with the here and now and our gates and halve the size they were in our first season at the Ricoh.
10.5-11.5k gates are poor for a place the size of Coventry and warwickshire.
Every club has fickle fans, it's just our seen more fickle than most.
<br />Plus Coventry folk aren't all brain dead zombies like scousers mancs and Geordies and have other interests
We had our chance to stick another 3-4000 on the gate yesterday on Tuesday and they blew it badly. If you hadn't been up for a while and witnessed that you would think that nowt had changed for the better at all.
As Gray has already eluded to premier league teams' fans manage to make it games? If we were in the premier league would we have 11k attendances? No. People would make sacrifices to watch games just because we were in a higher league so it should be no different in league 1.

A good gate at HR when in the 3rd and later in the 2nd division was way better than now, and in the Championship. Somebody, quite rightly said the gates were better because we had a thriving motor industry in the 40's 50's 60's and 70's. Not only cars but tanks, and personell carriers, during the war years.
People came from all over Britain, and Ireland to work, and their recreational time was spent watching football. Not many, now have any affinity with CCFC.
They, like me, support the team where they come from, (I live in Wales but have CCFC in my heart.)
30k+ at the Ricoh.....Any of that money been put back into the team?..........No fucking chance with SISU at the helm!
In my experience, these 'REAL' fans, whose main focus in life is CCFC, are normally slightly odd, dull and have poor dress sense.(Quote}
and spend half of their spare time engaged on football forums.
I wish I was there freezing my ass off for £20 yesterday...
Despite the result, I'm sure you would have enjoyed yourself.
Would have had an absolute hoot. Aside from the weather, team result and expenditure.
Few extra layers and jobs a good'n. There was plenty to enjoy, and if you eat well before going to the match, you don't even have to buy a pie!! If you fancy a drink, I'm sure you could have a few before or after! There's no law stating you have to drink in the ground.
At the moment, the product the ticket buys (football) is worth the money!!
Tell me, have you ever heard of the recession and what it's doing to the average man and womens money situation right now?
I'm one of those extra 20,000 and as a lot of people will know on here, I'm a loyal Sky Blues fan and have sky blue blood running through my veins!
I just can't afford to go to every game and that sucks for me. If someone offered me a season ticket, I'd be there every week.
So keep your eliteism to yourself please!
To think everyone who went actually supports Cov is wrong, a few rugby lads I know and lads from school who don't even like football, let alone CCFC went.
£5, you CAN'T go wrong, even with hindsight.
So why not the Burton game? This is what I don't get..

Or the Sheffield game or he PNE game.....

Obviously the chance to go to Wembley was a big factor in the drive in sales, but he price drawn in many neutrals.
Exactly.
We didn't play Accrington Stanley did we?
