So who is traveling the furthest for the Wembley game. I'm coming with my son from LA. Anyone else?
I'm coming from the west country which, although doesn't seem far, is actually in the 1990s so I have to travel through time.
I will not be attending, but I live 9 miles from Fairplay and did not know there were any members of the SBA in town.Fairplay

Hello mate, long time no see. Hows things in Oz?Possibly Sydney. Still working out logistics, holiday time and funds.
I didn't take my lad also, he was just 9 and remember most of Wembley was standing so he stayed home with his mates and had a party. Going this time and he's 39 but it's Wembley, Sky Blues at Wembley! doesn't matter if it's FA, League or the frigging egg cup, it's us at Wembley and if we got there again next year the clamour for tickets will be the same.Cheers CJ!
I'd just turned 9 in May '87. Watched all the build up and the match on tv in my full city kit and 2 scarves - my regular one and a cup final scarf my parents had bought me, together with an advance match programme . Didn't think anything more of it at the time, was just a city mad kid watching my team in the cup final who loved his new gifts.
Just before I moved out here 10 years ago, was having a pint with my Dad and don't remember how it came up now but we were talking City and something to do with the cup final was mentioned.
Suddenly my Dad just started bawling his eyes out and saying how sorry he was he couldn't take me to Wembley all those years ago because at the time they were in some financial troubles and he couldn't afford the blackmarket ticket prices. Daft bugger had been living with the guilt for 20 years. So finally there's another chance to go, and this time I'm going to make sure I get a ticket so he can finally let it go!
I just hope my Dad is watching, wherever he is, and knows I've made it to Wembley so that he can finally be at peace with himself*I didn't take my lad also, he was just 9 and remember most of Wembley was standing so he stayed home with his mates and had a party.
