Glad it wasn't just me looking to see where he was! He'll be as far away as possible from it I reckon. Possibly France or on a hard shoulder somewhere having a nap as you do.
Robinson is my MP. What the fuck.
He should sign the thing ffs. It's about being together not split again.
CovTel posted a list of MPs backing the Early Day Motion. 3 MPs in Coventry and only 2 signed it. Who is the missing nay-sayer ? :stig:
imho unless Fletcher is seen to be proactive in attempts to resolve or further matters,
she's signing off votes for herself in any future election
See it is therefore a pointless exercise to carry out such a 'fit & proper persons test'. Why don't they change their own rules to retain the right to withdraw the Golden Share at any point within a 5yr period if they suspect things are untoward?Damien Collins, fit & proper persons test too narrow. Only checks for with unspent convictions. FL has no latitude to block persons unsuitable to run a football club.
I haven't kept up to date on all this crap tbh...but are you CERTAIN there is no offer to renew? Could it be the case that there was a suggestion to renew the existing deal for 5yrs...but SISU said '50yrs & you've got a deal'? Or 'Halve it & you've got a deal'? That would be no real surprise would it?Is she stupid or what? Wasps are not offering an extension at the Arena at this time. Honestly, you make the tea for Bob Ainsworth for 30 years and suddenly you're an MP!
Expelling league clubs would be... radical!See it is therefore a pointless exercise to carry out such a 'fit & proper persons test'. Why don't they change their own rules to retain the right to withdraw the Golden Share at any point within a 5yr period if they suspect things are untoward?
...onwards & upwards PUSB
Why would they bother responding to this absolute waste of time?A couple of MPs slating the worst owners in the FL to an empty house. Not really told us something we did not know already.
Can we add these MPs to the list of so called conspirators that are lining up against SISU/CCFC, or are the establishment already on it?
SISU are still very quiet.
What hasn't been mentioned on any of the coverage that I've seen - Coleen Fletcher was a labour councillor until 2015, and was chair of the Labour Group and the Chair of the Scrutiny Committee on the Council...

Who get punished thr most and loses out though? The fans of said club, when their club has been expelled from thr league and they have to start again from the 8-10 tiers. Most these owners know they are going to lose ££££, yeah they'd lose a bit more but then they would move on and no real impact on them.Expelling league clubs would be... radical!
Shouldn't that be piising in the wind. :jawdrop:5 things we learned from the Parliamentary Debate.....
Because if they tried to implement that it would be chaos. For a start as soon as they stripped any owner of the GS they'd be up in court. Then think what would happen to the clubs, if there's not a new owner ready to step in immediately what happens? Why don't they change their own rules to retain the right to withdraw the Golden Share at any point within a 5yr period if they suspect things are untoward?
Or we could just have business as usual & in 10...20...50yrs just be going in the same circles with different or even the same clubsExpelling league clubs would be... radical!
I agree...but whichever route - the fans either gain or suffer in most circumstances. This just takes the penalties for potential owners to the extreme so football clubs maybe appear less attractive an investment to the fly-by-night & SISU type potential owners. Football in general would be better off without them imoWho get punished thr most and loses out though? Not sure what the answer is but better checks at the start, full disclosure of all shareholders, and stopping clubs from spending beyond their turnover with points penalties would help.

Agree there is no easy answer - but 5yrs of being booted out & initial investments being wiped out in terms of value would tend to motivate potential owners to make this work rather than just plod or not give much of a shit.Because if they tried to implement that it would be chaos. 1. Untoward is circumstantial. Taking us to Northampton would've been a good case in pointAnd what are you judging untoward? You could say something like us moving to Northampton but that was sanctioned by the FA and FL. If they insist on acceptance of any rental deal or make non-payment of rent punishable whats to stop clubs landlords whacking the rent up knowing the clubs have no option other than to pay?
Very good item
Did they mention stuff about the Ricoh and the agreement to play there running out etc?
Did they say the current status?Yes they did
