Its funny I read it that Robo is posting a quote from Fisher in response to a question from another poster, and is merely posting something that is in print in the public domain from Fisher.

I cant see anywhere him saying he agrees or its what he wants. Perhaps you are the sucker for seeing a conspiracy in his post that doesn't exist.

Maybe TF is trying to call peoples bluff here as well. If all you lot are saying we wont go until SISU go, we are in it long term so we wont need a big stadium because you lot wont come.

I agree. The offerings of those who still try and excuse this pantomime gets ever more pitiful.

Let me give you an example. Remember when this all started, it was all about rents. Does anyone actually care to remember? Fisher bleating on about 'average League One rentals'. Some fools like Grendel then actually then start to offer comparisons. It's laughable.

But than - wait. It changes. It's about revenues. There's some movement from ACL on rent, so the debate changes to revenues. SISU know ACL are hamstrung on giving away too many revenue streams given contracts awarded to others who have bought rights. But those where some access is possible are laid open to debate.

So, change again. Move to a smaller stadium; which seems kinda counterintuitive given the previous debate about revenues - as they're notably decreased. What's it about now? Oh, freehold.

Why freehold, and not long leasehold with low rents? Apparently, it's all about 'revenue streams'. Aha! But wait there, couldn't they get that from a leasehold at the Ricoh. Why do we need a new stadium to access revenues?

And if you want me to be quite frank, how can any possible revenue streams be factored in when nobody knows where this fabled stadium might be? Does anyone - in the name of God - really believe this?

Think about something like stadium sponsorship - naming rights. Imagine going to Ricoh, or Samsung, or Fishymores for that matter - I don't feckin' care....

I'm sorry to be facetious; but there is no way revenues can possibly be factored into the bigger thinking - be that stadium naming rights, conferencing, concerts, events, exhibitions, whatever - without a known location - and why anyone would even begin to think it could be in frankly the work of fantasy.

If you're asking for my opinion? Then the answer is I don't know, if they're planning to building a new stadium then they're going a long way to convince us, but even at this stage if they bought land they could still not have the intentions to build. If/When/Should the first brick be laid we will then see if this is real.

Don't think he is trying to call anyone's bluff, I think he's looking at how much he can get away with borrowing and what he'll get for that money. I also don't think most of the people here have said they won't come until SISU are gone, I think many would be back tomorrow if we were back at the Ricoh - or, indeed, in a new ground that is "closer to the city centre than the Ricoh". I believe the current stay aways (myself included) are more KCIC rather than SISU OUT ... at least until we're in a position for them to sell us on.

As above GPE, I too would take Fisher a bit more seriously once these 3 facts are revealed.

I'd only give it some credit once a site has been announced, SISU have paid money for land, and the local authority has publically stated that planning applications have begun.

Until then, I'll go with the 8 year olds "rendering"...

They will probably distress the building company with some clause so that they can then take them to court and get it for free. That is how they work,don't want to pay for anything.

For a couple of hours yesterday I was quite excited and thought we might actually be getting some good news but this just seems like something that's been knocked up quickly as a response to the articles on the survey results.

An artist’s impression is meaningless, at the very least we need plans and details of where it will be. That's before you even consider details of how it will be financed and the ownership arrangements.

I do not for a minute believe this will be built but let’s just say this artists impression is actuate and respond to that. I hate the design, it looks like an inflatable! It doesn't look modular so it seems the initial build will have large areas without seating and look unfinished. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of facilities to generate money on non-match days. If this is all about revenues then, as we'll be competing against the Ricoh for business, the facilities need to be as good as, if not better, than the Ricoh.

It sounds like this is all they're planning on consulting the fans about so that's a total waste of time.

Now I know 60 acres is also in excess of 50 acres and more than a minimum of 30 acres but those don't appear very consistent answers.

We're already 6 months into a 3 year project, add in say 6 months to complete the actual land deal and 18 months for planning and we've only got 6 months left to build the thing assuming all the funding is in place and there's no objection with planning.

How do they know this when they don't know where it's going to be? it's hardly going to be a community club if it's not based in the community and I haven't seen anything to indicate this is actually going to be built in the city.

Then why have you ignored them? The Ricoh was sold out for the match against Crewe last year and since SISU have been in charge there have been 54 games at the Ricoh with an attendance in excess of the proposed new stadium even when it has been expanded to its maximum capacity. If this is all about revenues why such a low limit on the biggest revenue stream?

Again showing a lack of ambition, there's 30 at the Ricoh not including the lounges.

How long is a piece of string?

How much debt and at what interest rate, what odds on repayments being higher than the 'crippling' rent at the Ricoh.

He might want to check on that, there's very few of these grants available now even to establish organisations with clear charitable objectives, can't see there being many grants available to a hedge fund wishing to make a profit on the project.

How does he know there will be buses if they haven't got the land yet? Or does he just mean running busses on match day which isn't going to do much for attracting other businesses to the site.

This is going to be an issue if it's out in the sticks. There won't be surrounding businesses to pick up the slack on parking as there is at the Ricoh. If car is pretty much the only option to get there and there's not enough spaces people won't bother.

This sounds like they're already giving up on attracting other businesses to the stadium location.

Don't the Higgs Trust already do this? Not sure how much inclusion there will be with a stadium located out of the city.

To be honest nothing released today gives me any reason to be optimistic. Just more BS from SISU to try and convince the gullible.
