You been drinking pal?
Not me who is saying the other person doesn't want the bet when the other person doesn't want to put the money where their mouth is.

Are you taking the bet or not
OK I will take the gamble of you not paying. You follow me around like a bad smell so would pay the £50 when you don't. Well worth it just to get rid of the bad smell.

Stone cold sober as usual. My 14 year old daughter isn't very well and could have to drive her to hospital at any moment. The nearest hospital is over an hour away.

I hope she’s better soon pal

I’m sorry mate
No problem mate. Back with my family before planned. Retired at 54 so always a silver lining 😀 Gave my car away to get here quicker then clipped an island racing to hospital in wife's car. Need to buy another car as repairs slow here. Driven with bearings and suspension not at its best. Can't even hear the engine 😁

Where is the negotiation? We both give Nick £500 so the charity gets paid. Not lost a charity bet on here yet but not always been paid when I win.

Can I take the bet now?

The fact that the team are getting grief tonight is actually a complement to them and the manager. Back in September I’d have taken staying up on goal difference. However their flashes of genuine ability has upped the expectations. We’ve had a brilliant season but this thread is about playoffs. For me it might be a blessing in disguise to miss out as I think they might be very disappointing. I’ve see nothing to suggest that we could perform consistently across the team over 3 games against quality opposition under the most intense of pressure. As good as we can be we have had too many matches or more accurately halves of matches where it looks like we have only just been acquainted with a football. I’m still staggered by the first half today. I’m sure like me most of you have been buzzing for todays game. Off the back of a great result at Blackpool and with the chance of results had gone well to go into the 6th. You’d think the players would have been the same. Hero worshipped by the best away fans in the Championship, 4 goals and a real prize on offer today. And then they give us that.

I think any semi final home leg in the play offs may have gone the same way as Crewe 2013 😂.

Great season, yes. Play off champions? No chance

After that performance it's a disgrace we even still talking about play offs.
Only 4 points off 5th and the 4 teams above us play each other next game. Even Middlesbrough who most would fear in the playoffs had 4 put past them by Huddersfield. Nowhere near over yet. But yes a missed opportunity.

Win next game and wins for Luton and Norwich will leave us 1 point off 5th.

Every game went in our favour except ours, real missed opportunity there, would have been 1 point off playoffs and we fucked it

I think a lot of people are going to be left a little disappointed after the Easter fixtures. We’re not ready for a play off push and without gyokeres goals we would be in a dog fight in the bottom of the table.

This side needs more quality across the side with a bigger squad to have a chance next season.

I’d like to know how millwall and Luton have managed to build squads with no budget to sit where they are for the last few seasons?

Is it luck, hard work, no injuries to key players, better togetherness, better in game management by players and coaching staff? We’re not a million miles away but I think we need a couple of experienced heads that can play a bit next season.

Probably not wasting a limited budget on players who didn’t make a first team experience.

Have you considered that each set of supporters will be saying the same?

We have next to no chance of making the playoffs and even if we did, this group of players have shown us that they’re not mentally strong enough to win them.

None of the teams around us won. Only Sheffield United and Luton won out of the teams in the top half and we were not looking at going above them in the table.

Middlesbrough were winning at HT against Huddersfield then conceded 4 in the second half against a side still in the bottom 3. We recently beat them 4-0 at their place.

It will all come down to how we recover from this. We know that we can put a run together. We were undefeated for 9 games before yesterday. We were never going to go the last 17 games undefeated.

I know emotions are running high after a poor display but no side outside the top 4 will be full of confidence.

Hopefully just a bad day in the office.

Things haven't really changed in the play off race, hopefully getting a good hammering will wake the fuckers up a bit.

Hopefully you don't mean it as harshly as it reads but referring to 'our' players as 'fuckers' really winds me up. Yes, they played badly yesterday, and sometimes they might not be too good, but for a few seasons now they have outperformed what should have rightly been expected of them. Why not get behind them and see if that positivity filters through to provide results beyond those expectations.

Who cares what anybody calls them? They must’ve been called something similar by people at the game yesterday

While I fully share the frustrations with yesterday's performance it has been some considerable time since we have had a performance as poor. Judged player for player our team should be nowhere near the play offs yet they have got us as close as any could hope, despite crucial injuries to senior players. They have been helped in doing that from a positivity in our support that I have rarely seen in my time supporting this club. Despite yesterday, this group of players and managers deserve to be backed rather than slagged off, and if you want the team to be successful they are more likely to, by having our fans behind them than by cursing them as 'fuckers'.

1st half against blackpool at home was worse if you ask me that was down to sickness running through the club , mind you its CCFC if we need to win! we dont! simple as that. keep as close to the playoff spot as we can and blindside everyone and win the last game and sneak in

The results in the other games were a “get out of jail free” card.
The only change is we have one game less to do it. I don’t think we’ll make it but even the chance is making for a great ride. I’ve been a fan for over 60 years and that was possibly the worst all round team performance I’ve witnessed (I’ve never said that before). Having said that we do tend to bounce back well from defeats and with favourable fixtures around us on Friday it could be “on” again.
The teams around us are also blowing hot and cold and I expect yes or no to be determined by our game at Blackburn
