It’ll likely be
Wilson
Lati Thomas Kitching Dasilva
Sheaf Eccles
MVE Rudoni Wright
BTA

What I would do
Dovin (just keep playing him, not going to improve sitting on the bench watching Wilson dive out of the way of shots
MVE Thomas Binks (he’s better than Kitching) Dasilva
Sheaf Eccles Rudoni (play as a three)
BTA EMC (play him in his most natural position)
Wright (play him down the middle, he’s our most natural goal scorer

The physicality Preston adopt , will ultimately be too much for us AGAIN !
Saka , if fit , wouldn’t be a good game to come back too & Dasilva , although has pace , always seems to be against a tall striker & an easy outlet for them going forward .
With the centre half’s so slow & such poor forward passing , we have to bring Binks back in for another change & wether Robins changes both , you wouldn’t put it past him .
Midfield, well I think we are all scratching our heads with the lack of anything positive , Asante & Bassette hopefully adding pace up front , to feed on scraps at best ?

That was a very good pass from Wright.

Let’s hope he can start putting a few more in more us, though we will need Simms, BTA or Bassett to start scoring from them.

We need more of that from him in the league. I’m hoping he’ll come back firing because Poch only made a couple of subs and put faith in him to replace Pulisic.

We let them boss us. Preston, the grey team of the championship.

Can see a similar lineup to last game to be honest.

As I've said before, I'd personally like us to give a 3-4-1-2 a go but I doubt it'll happen.

Can see a 4-2-3-1:
Dovin
Lati
Thomas
Kitching
Bidwell
Eccles
Sheaf
Rudoni
BTA/Simms
EMC
MVE

Ordinarily I'd say Lati wouldn't play or at least wouldn't start because of the internationals, but with Tatsu out and Wright also being on international duty I can see him being put back in so MVE can play right wing, also it's Lati so he has to be shoehorned in somehow.

Got to at least give our midfield a chance and play a flat 3 in the middle.

Our 4-2-3-1 is more often than not a 4-3-3 in various points over a game.

Not entirely sure what triggers it tbf, because it's not a straight in and out of possession thing, at least not the last few games anyway.

Could we use Rudoni as a false 9 with Wright and another as the wider forwards? You'd have a midfield 3 of Torp, Eccles and Sheaf then to provide additional defensive cover for the forwards?

Think he’d struggle as a false nine just due to the lack of strength at times. Plus it would leave us without a natural midfield sub if we needed to make a change.

i'm taking one of my lads to this as his first away game.

it might put him off for life but the reason being is that i've only ever been to villa park 3 times. the first we drew, the 2nd in the FA cup we won 1-0 and the third we demolished them 4-1. i remember thinking what was the fuss all about....so i'm hoping my lad can have a similar effect on this voodoo at deepdale. if it works i will take my other kids to norwich away and swansea away.

As Haji has been on int duty with the USA i think there is a chance EMC will get a start on the left.

i wonder if, with Bidwell being injured, and Da Silva not convincing defending a high switch in a flat 4 we might see three at the back again? I'm not sure we even have enough midfield players for the box with Allen being injured but could we go something like 3-4-3. However this would mean one of either Sheaf, Eccles or Rudoni dropping out.....

Wilson

Thomas Kitching Binks

VanEwijk Sheaf Rudoni Da Silva

Thomas-Asante Simms Mason-Clark

Can't say it looks like that during matches tbh
