We need to go creative and bring in a proven European coach that is tactically astute, with proven success and innovative practice.
We then need some fucking patience and give the new guy a chance.
It took Thomas Frank 4 seasons to get Brentford up and he’s kept them up.
I really do hope King is looking at this type of coach and that the fans back him all the way.
We’ve got a great squad and will strengthen in Jan-season isn’t over yet.

What specifically made Robins responsible for our recent slide? And not the coaches or performance staff or scouts? What’s the process for replacing those people?
If you’re always hiring for the group and never putting responsibility on one person then you trend towards the mean. Fine if the mean is high performing, but if not then you’re selecting for mediocrity because the new manager may come in and want better but will lose out as it’s easier to sack him than seventeen others.

I’m not against him per se. I actually spoke to my cousin last night and noticed he was doing a good job what with them being top.Happy with the notion there’s an idea of the type of “head coach” we want. Not sure I have faith in it being the right choice first time.

Becuase on the pitch decisions are on the manager. Always have done.Why not the coaches? Why not the person responsible for player performance? If these things ultimately fall onto the manager then how is this system different from the normal manager at the top making decisions?
Be a lot of potential applicants not wanting to work in the championship or premier league then…Apparently we're not looking for a manager, we're after a head coach, to work within Doug King's coaching set up.
I'm wondering if that might put some potential applicants off.
