Sometimes people divorce someone they still love because it just isn't working any more. It feels like we're in that rocky stage where we're trying to rekindle the spark and keep the relationship alive, but we've also got one eye on the hot, exotic new girl / guy at work.
Had a similar thought the other day. I don’t think many relationships survive much longer.

Unfortunately I don't trust Doug to hook us up with the exotic newbie.
More likely the semi functioning alky from club release

"Robins out - if we lose to Luton"...... would be a frankly ridiculous decision to base it on the outcome of a single match.

What happens if we beat Luton then lose the next two or three.... does the next match become "Robins out" if we lose.

Surely people can see that we've come so far due to stability.

As far as i'm concerned Mark Robins should have free reign to try and ride out the crisis as he sees fit for the rest of the season..... there's a lot more to be lost by bringing someone else in.

Whilst I entirely agree, one reassuring thing is the fact 60% still back him. You fear it's way more than that as the 10.2% are very vocal.
Actually, according to this meaningless poll, less than 10% want MR sacked. That's probably the same kind of percentage you'd see at 90% of any clubs fanbase at any time, and way less than at other clubs who might find themselves in the bottom 3 at this stage of the season.

The poll remains meaningless however as the idiot who put it up has included other options which weren't on the first 2 polls, which makes any comparisons over time totally impossible.

Agree he shouldn’t be judged too harshly on this match as tbf to Luton they are a good team but we also imo can’t allow for the rest of the season as we’re in the relegation spots.

I’ve said November international break is when I’d judge the situation.

I’m half expecting to see the next poll include “sack if he uses words I don’t like in the next press conference”

lol

Doesn’t take a genius to work out that right now the second option voters can be added to robins in. Then after Saturday they can be added to either side depending on result.

So currently it’s 10% out, but that will rise to 28% if we lose on Saturday.

A fanbase giving their opinion of the manager in numerical form on a forum designed specifically for fans is embarrassing? You have a very petty notion of what embarrassing means 😂

At least me and @skybluecam are bothering to put the time in to ask the forum what they think of Robins, and I’m not saying it’s a “heroic” deed or anything, but at least it’s contributing to the in-depth discussion of Robins’ tenure. For example, the Not The Top 20 podcast even used one of the polls in their analysis of Cov the other week. It’s just interesting for football fans to know what’s going on with our club and for our own fans to know what other fans are thinking. The fact you’re getting wound up over it all is the embarrassing factor in all of this.
There’s literally about 7 or 8 posters who’s opinions I care about and that’s because they don’t waffle complete nonsense like they’re trying to rewrite war and peace!

The forum overall is going to be harsher on MR than the average fan from my experience. So if 10% of forum posters want him sacked, I’d guess it’s more like 5% or less of the IRL fan base.

Mate, I'm not offended.
Do I think you're a clown- yes.
Do I think you talk bollocks - yes.
Do I think you're full of your own self importance - yes.

Am I offended, absolutely not.
Do I give a single fuck what you think about me - absolutely not.
Hope that clears that up.

Well it’s a given that you think I talk bollocks because you have some sort of fixation with replying to my comments. Once again, just like our conversation 11-12 months ago, I’ve done nothing to wind you up or provoke and then you come out saying “you’re a clown, you talk bollocks, you’re full of your own self importance”. Literally an exact mirror image of the conversation we had about going to 4 at the back this time last year. I had and have done absolutely nothing to you personally and in return you come out throwing ridiculous statements around. We had even agreed not to speak to each other and yet you still can’t resist having a go at me over absolutely nothing.

Maybe it’s just me but you’re coming across as a bully and someone who has nothing better to do than to try and berate people on what should be a friendly fan forum, fucking pathetic 😂

I had a look yesterday at manager stats for the EPL and EFL. I already knew that MR was the 3rd longest serving manager of the lot but I had a look and out of 92 managers, I think there were 56 who had been in the job less than a year which I found incredible.

It's mental how often teams chop and change.

In the Championship, MR is 7yrs and 231 days. Next closest is Warne of Derby, just over 2 years.

67% of managers in the Championship have been manager of their current club for less than a year.

I'm not even going to read that, but for the sake of everyone on the board, could you try and be less verbose? Thanks.

I know, it's frightening isn't it.

The likelihood if we get rid of Robins, is of us ending back on the manager carousel once again and a lack of stability.

Unless we strike it really lucky of course.

Yeah fair enough, it’s just interesting to see what we all think tbh, it doesn’t mean anything tbh I just like seeing what other people’s opinions are. I’m still genuinely on the fence about Robins, I think the next few games are crucial in terms of the way I view him going forward, as for what Doug thinks that’s clearly a separate issue.

That’s absolutely typical. Reels off a load of aggressive statements in a grandiose fashion and then can’t even be bothered to listen to the very person you’re having a go at. And you think I’m the one that’s full of my own self importance? 😂😂

1 paragraph, congratulations.
Much more readable, still bollocks, but small steps.......

Yes.... they've also started poorly but they were a Premier League side last season and i don't expect to beat them on saturday.

We really could have done with beating QPR.

Exactly that, think Luton will come good, they’ve definitely showed signs of life. Hoping we can do the same against them.

All Robins needs is a saviour like he saved Fergie back in 89/90!

Well let's hope he's able to sign him in January because he hasn't got anyone at the moment, that if he last that long. 😲

Except in this case the exotic new girl at work is some Norwegian guy you've never met but some computer algorithm thinks might just work out.

I asked someone and got similar, mood there is fine, they're not happy with the results obviously but otherwise they're all carrying on as normal. They can't show it though as for some reason people expect them to be moping around all day

I think people can tell they aren’t arsed that they’re shit.
