Honesty for once this is about MONEY
I always get worried about investors(China Malaysia Singapore) who want to give something back to the local community what about their local community. I come from Coventry I dont care what happens in these other countries so why should they?

Why should he be able to judge now for us then?
He seems to be able to glide through all the troubles and tribulations of the club blithely, from the Robinson days to Sisu, and still be given support as "good old Joe" now.
If I'd hired somebody to do my electrics in my house and it had burned down(twice!), I doubt very much if I'd get them in to do it a third time!
He, and Sisu, were heavily backed by most fans at the time, not all though, some never have backed them..
Just because he said it, does not mean all the other councillors would agree with him ... It's not just up to him ...These things usually comes down to votes.. I am sure there are many councillors would not agree with him/them
BTW I don't think it was Mutton who said it ... it was some other councillor with a similar sounding name to his ... Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree anything that gives us some kind of hope is better than where we are now This time if we are taken over it has to be done properly no hidden agenda multiple companies etc and every time something like that happens we ask why and investigate and question no ltd holdings sbsl arvo sconset etcetc something in this something in that. I want to see a club that files its accounts on time debts shown etc want a club that listens to the fans invests and I dont mean multi million pound players but normal investment for a club in the league we are in.It cannot be any worse than where we find ourselves today, I concur it is about money but isn't everything. If we as a Club/City can benefit - then bring it on.
This is a quote from Mutton, to add to the quotes I already posted from Maton:-
"if a FANTASTIC OFFER came in" for the Council's shares, the full council COULD vote on a change of policy.
Not sure now if this was in the context of the council's share of revenue or share of stadium ownership, but it sounds like the council's share of stadium ownership. In which case the policy would seem to be not to sell to any investor unless a shitload of money is offered. I guess we may find out soon enough.
Without knowing the facts, my instinct tells me Haskell sounds the better bidder.
The fact that the Asian bidders would hide behind a 'public board' concerns me. Haskell seems a lot more open.
Also his interest seems to have existed for a while, whereas these seem to have come from nowhere. Also there's the Paul Fletcher issue.

This "only show in town" line that is now bring ridiculed by some was probably valid at the time it was said. Only now that the club is up for grabs at a relatively knocked down price, do all the scavengers come out of the woodwork.
By the club at the moment you mean Sisu NOAt the time it was said, admin wasn't looming and nor we're any investors, PH4 weren't going to bid if we weren't in admin.
The positive from these two bids is that they've included a bid for ACL, they've learnt from lessons from the dark past and recognise fully the importance in obtaining at least a 50% share in ACL... Now, I wonder if so many people will still oppose the club to do this, I will support them 100%.
The rep was on the radio this morning.......... i find that quite open to be honest
Yet in another post you said sisu were the only game in town because it was created that way. Remind me whose ticking clock was it - I forget? Elliot or fletcher?
ahah NLHWC ripped to shreds yet again i see
back on topic was the guy on radio chinese or an british spokesperson?
"likes" looooooooooooooool
the fakefuck generation...bless

Nobody has a crystal ball, and a guy that loves the club as we do will clearly do his best.
Who would you say IS qualified to decide?
Very well saying you never backed them, but in the years we've both posted on here you've never backed anyone or anything; presumably because it allows you to criticise and say "I told you so".

I find the fact that Torchomatic has 'approved' this post is the biggest irony of this whole sorry affair....
The same Mr Fletcher who was slagged off on here as being a lying drunk? Well, the plot thickens.
I think you're mistaking me for someone who adores Elliott? I don't, but I am able to consider that he made error's of judgement based on his love of the club. Maybe he could do that again, sure, but hopefully he's learned some valuable lessons.
Fletcher is just an arrogant prick with no reason to return to this club other than his chip-on-shoulder "unfinished business". No thanks. If he's merely an advisor in the bid and not someone who will be involved long-term, that may ease my uneasiness...although not easily.
He says in his first ever post on the board?
Just the like same SISU some called our 'saviours'? Well, the plot is exposed...:jerkit:
Sorry, your 'opinion' obviously means more than mine.
I bow to your superior knowledge...
Excuse me if I don't agree with you, but I have read what you have posted, and it is quite frankly embarrassing that you still have the nerve to post on here.
Ah, it all becomes clear. What happened to WarwickCCFC or your other IDs?
I'm not blessed with the same hindsight as you. Be careful you don't say anything about any potential owner - either for or against - as I may use it against you in six years time.
