It definitely seems like they're trying to kill the atmosphere... it's not like we're renowned for causing trouble and even the protests have died out (for now). Not blaming the club, but something needs changing... it felt quite hostile today, almost as if I was at an away match.
Fully agree, it’s over the top and seems to have killed the atmosphere that block 14 gives the place.
We tried to buy tickets last week for block 16 so we could sit near friends but it said it was sold out ( same for the Rochdale and Doncaster games) so bought two in block 17. They had a line of high viz guys all the way up the stairs, it would be interesting to know how many extra people they are now employing this season?
It’s not stopping the idiots going to games just spreading them out around the ground.
Said I would go to about half the home games this season, but not feeling very welcome.

It’s too much IMO , walking up to your seat with a handful of coffees and holding crisps in your mouth and being asked to show your ticket despite saying hello to the same man 2 minutes before , then having to put it all down just to get your ticket from your pocket to satisfy their power trip .... is pissing me off

A lot of people are scattered between several blocks now because they can’t sit in the corner anymore .
Always easier to join in as most do ,than it is to start singing in parts of the ground where most people don’t sing .
The atmosphere at the Ricoh has always come from 14/15/16 , it’s definitely had an impact so far the changes

Is it worth everybody just getting them over the other side in block 1 or whatever it is? Then have it both sides close to the away fans.

Always thought that would work, but realistically the sound wouldn't travel.
People don't want to sing when no one around them joins in. They look a bit silly.

Assume it will be the same for Wasps games, after all it claimed to be a safety issue and we wouldn't want people attending the rugby not to be safe.

I asked the steward at the bottom of the stairs why he was checking my ticket again. He apologised and said there was a raised level of security after what happened at Westminster. Guess they think either a terrorist won’t buy a full price ticket or he will try and sit in someone else’s seat!

I always thought that if we ever made it to the top flight that away fans would be put there. Either that or pushed as far into the one side of the south stand as possible allowing Coventry fans to share the stand.
As much as I don't think the King Power is a good ground, the fact they squeeze away fans away in the corner works well.

Hahaha, not quite got the technology have they. I've ordered tickets for the Wasps friendly just in case there is going to be queues but generally we just pay on the gate.

4 people in the queue in front of me all had problems with print at home tickets with barcodes not being recognised.
Either people are trying to get in without valid tickets or the system doesn't work properly.

It’s a pain in the ass as I’m in that area But it’s not the club’s fault. Forced on them by the SAG which is made up of Wasps and the police. As the police don’t force this on any other club in the country then you know where the problem lies.

You say the police and I’m not doubting you but the same police force cover Villa, Blues, Albion, Wolves and Walsall do these clubs have similar issues to us then ? And if it is a print problem with these tickets are our (ccfc) tickets printed somewhere different to Wasp ones ?

Think the point he's making is its not the police as it doesn't happen to anyone else in the country.
Think about who else is on the SAG, its not going to be the fire service or ambulance service so that leaves the council and Wasps.
This policy in blocks 14-16 (which I know is not of the club's making) is senseless. Block 16 is so flat compared to last season. Checking tickets is one thing, but surely, by not allowing people to buy tickets in this part of the ground, you are making it more likely that people are going to move across. What are they trying to achieve exactly?
Checks are over the top. My nine year old, looks about 7 wet through, was stopped when he went to the toilet and I forgot to give him his ticket. They let him through eventually, probably when he started to well up. I absolutely fucking hate that place with a passion.
