.
I did think the same thing too. Couple of mill in the bank for the land, rent a pitch a Warwick Uni for peanuts and to satisfy Sports England stick some goalposts in a field and chuck a bit of astroturf down somewhere. Job done.
Yeah this interested me too.
Could it (could it!) be that the stadium dream becomes a reality...?
This latest news can be looked at either way. Sisu have come to the conclusion that they have been cornered so bad that selling is the only way out, so are cashing in on the only thing they have. Or they are trying to cash in and are about to invest in a multi purpose facility with the training ground and stadium all in the same piece of land.
Errm, isn't it best to secure the new land first and lay a few bricks before putting your old training ground up for sale?
Anybody that didn't already know this, should take a close look at their own reasoning. IMHOMORE of our History eroded , I think we all know now , that they are here for themselves and not CCFC ..
It's got HR/A2000 written all over it already.
Note the company address is registered at Ryton, the new company address will probably be a PO box.

Let's face it selling the training ground isn't the sign of long term sticking around is it?
I did work on the ew Fleetwood training ground last year it is quite nice but you don't get a lot for £6.5mthe pitch replacement would need to be in the RBC area wouldn't it?
Everything is charged to ARVO so any funds are technically due to that entity
Didn't Mogga say that one of the selling points for attracting new players was the standard of the training facilities? (having seen them the pitches are great but the buildings not so) Renting someone elses going to do that? Building new one will take time and additional funds
Can RBC or anyone else have confidence in assurances given.
If we raised £2m then would that pay for a new training ground, the Fleetwood one that just opened cost £6.5m. So the logic would be we are selling something in order to borrow more to replace it (if it is replaced)
Perhaps they will share with another sports team, I cant see it being Wasps, so CRFC or even Broadstreet ?
Just seems further evidence of an internet based zombie company that struggles to put a competitive team on the pitch or to engage on even a half decent level with its customers - us the fans
but you don't get a lot for £6.5m
Waiting for the Observer to do it first they have been very quiet of late why do you think that is Les?Strange how the CT reports this but not the WASPies land transaction?
I bet you Moggas gutted he spunked £50k on some new paint and graffiti last summer.
But that's the thing, what they would have done before they were cornered and were trying to sell it.
Would they have just sold Ryton and shut us down? What options would there have been?
Could they have been sticking around just on the hope of this land stuff at Ryton which is still quite a way off?
Who knows Nick. My view is something has happened to really drive the CT to run a sisu out campaign from Tuesday. Something has changed. As we know houses and land are a time process. This could be the last piece to their ccfc jigsaw.
They are getting nowhere quickly via the courts and sisu aren't that thick. That lane is closed in reality. The team has sold pretty much every asset player wise bar RCC and Willis perhaps? No ground and no academy.
This is it. They have to leave at some point so why not this season?
Bloody hell Otis, be a bit patient, they are snowed under securing a site for the new stadium. Oh sorry hang on......
I think this is Sisu.
Maybe they could training there in the middle plenty of grassIsn't the speedway stadium also in Rugby? Apparently they agreed a deal before.
My guess it's hardly applicable to this situation and easily overcome. You would think it would have to be the same standard at least.
It is just the whole public / private thing as well. Only CCFC players were allowed to use the pitches
If they had a swimming pool in there only for CCFC players, would they have to rebuild that?
Anybody know how it works?
Again, everybody saying it is the final step. Would they have just sold it and liquidated us 3 or 4 years ago or since they have been trying?
Oh no I agree something has happened and a switch has been flicked. You can also sense that the telegraph are enjoying it all as well.
That's the thing about Ryton being the last piece or an end game, they have been trying for years as have past owners.
I am not saying it isn't an end game, but they have been trying for a while to pull it off.
I couldn't agree more Nick and reading Gilbert and the CT guys on Twitter you can see their smarmy replies and yes they do seem to be enjoying it and now after Tuesday campaign start guess what every article is about sisu and nothing on players. Grant it they have been banned tbf lol

let's hope that this bit is set in stone!

TBH Clint all that really says is they have to produce plans and satisfy all concerned parties
They have every intention of doing so, like when we moved to Northampton and they had to
Demonstrate there intentions of building a stadium.
Difference here being, once they have demonstrated and satisfied, the land will be sold and
Built upon, and all we will have is plans and pictures of shiny new training facilities in an
Office draw somewhere.

The word demonstrated means, I fear the worst.I would hope Brylowes that 'provided for' would mean actually provided and in place.
If not, as you said, all they need to do is get their shiny picture done all over again like the stadium.
This is depressing.
We only need Richardson in as a consultant and a land sale to Tesco to make it a mirror image.
It's worse carrying on with SISU as owners, regardless of anything they do.what if they sell ryton and find a crappy cheap as chips substitute. then we will continue with sisu and with a worse training ground
