Their own fans are well known for being thick mutants who don't understand football tbf.

This is it, they grind out wins. And for all the lauding of Leeds on here as if they're PSG Sheffield United are level with them
We could be second in the league and our fans would say we were shit still. Fans are overly critical of their own teams.

Not true, Blues fans think their multi million pound third division outfit is peak Barcelona and their £15 million pen merchant is an England superstar in the making. Add in the fact they rim their owner so hard he hasn't had to buy toilet paper all year and the frantic wanking over a stadium that may not exist and if it did would look absolutely ridiculous at best half full... avoiding these cringe cunts is a good a reason to want to get promoted as any i think. If Wrexham come up too the cringe-o-meter of the Championship will break under its own weight.

I agree, for some reason they've been called shit etc on here all season and I have no idea why
Jammy is probably a bit far tbh, they have a great squad at this level, that said they never seem to play that well but they do have quality from front to back which really does make a difference.

We have to be on it to get anything out of these.

Looks like Hamer is still up to his old tricks and we thought it was us he loved so much. Think he just enjoys a night on the piss sucking up to whoever he can have some drinks with.

That’s a shock.

I really dont get the wank fest over Bassette. He runs a round like a headless chicken and thats about it. Hes got a lot to learn before hes a first team regular

I really don't get the constant criticism either. Like you say, he's young and has a lot to learn. Fans slagging him off constantly ain't gonna help. Scored a couple for the Belgium U21s, so he knows where the net is. A lot of development ahead for him, so what's the issue for some?

Find it really weird too tbh, the fact he's playing for Belgium U21s shows he's got a good pedigree, not exactly a nation of footballing donkeys.
Is he the finished article? Nowhere near.
Could he be a good player for us in the future? Absolutely.

Would take a draw. Come through unscathed and go again at Burnley. I have these 2 both down as losses.

I know some of you absolutely love FotMob and WhoScored. His average ratings are 6.11 and 6.16 respectively, which puts him very very close to the bottom of the championship standings. The guy is in desperate need of a loan.

The issue is they don't like players that are popular with fans.

You see it with hamer too even though he's left

It's just to be contrary

They won't admit it though but it's the truth.

In some cases you get contrarians, most cases seem to be people having completely unrealistic expectations of young players, this is more of a modern thing, you barely even used to see players until they were around 22 back in the day i swear. I prefer to see the potential personally and i don't see any comparisons between Bassette and Raphael for example, who is way more of a 'punt' signing.

As for Hamer, i loved him when he was here. But he lead us on and moved to an absolutely loathsome football club, i don't see why anyone should feel obliged to like him tbh. I think he's a fat little shithouse who's wasting his talent as he'd rather have a kebab than put the extra work in. Be 28 by the time next season starts and up to this point his peak is a standout Championship player. Hardly the generational talent some make out.

I get that but if your honest your just being bitter and childish about hamer.

And I agree some rate norman too highly simply cos they think he's a shithouser or whatever. But at same time he's clearly got potential so acting like he can play zero part this season after he's already scored a few and started games is silly imo

I think being childish is fanboying a player who's moved on to another club, which is mildly acceptable when the player moves into another stratosphere, like Vik, but far more embarrassing when said player just ends up playing at your level again for a bunch of wankers.
Not liking a player at another club is solid football fan practice.
End of the day people have the freedom to clap the little fucker, i have the freedom to think they are absolute headcases for doing so.

Your just talking about extreme sides of the argument though.

Fanboying is extreme
Hating is extreme

Why not just choose to be normal and sit in the middle of it all?

It's not commies vs fascists, it's just an opinion on a tubby Dutch/Brazilian that likes a kebab and plays for Sheffield United
I'll keep hating on him, it's funny. O'Hare can suck a thousand dicks too.

What you trying to say? GIMOC said he's signed a new contract and he's usually spot on with these things. Oh, wait...

Gyokeres did well to be as transparent as he was. With Hamer though, people were taking basically a mercenary at face value when being unnecessarily asked about their future. Never do that. At the time he was certainly better and looked a level up, to believe he was staying was daft.

Gyok is a top bloke who looked genuinely gutted to be leaving but made it clear all along that's what he would do if we failed to go up. Hamer just liked to be liked by morons. I know which one i prefer but a weird amount prefer the latter.

It's not a defence force is it? I can't stand Wilder and O'Hare and Hamer can get fucked aswell the people that suck him off are embarrassing

However, take away their points deduction they're literally top of the league

Everyone saying 'winnable' 'this lot are shit' etc are talking bollocks

If we were offered a point now, everyone would snap their hand off. Also our record on Friday night away games is gash, is is our Bramall Lane record
Why is it that some fans are so massively triggered if other fans still like and respect former players? I think that's embarrassing

That's not true is it? I think we all knew both wanted to leave if we didn't go up but it just took longer for Hamer to get the offer he (and his agent) was happy with than for Vik. He played at the start of the season for us which some interpret as 'leading people on', imagine the uproar if he had refused to play! He did nothing wrong, he just moved on when the offer was right. The fact that some fans have a particular dislike for the club he chose is hardly his fault.

In reality though you know nothing about either of them. I think that's the main issue. Fans thinking they are in some inner circle and then feeling betrayed when someone leaves

Mate i don't know what you're arguing against here or why the Hamer fan club thinks all us fans have to really like a Sheffield United player. I don't like any of them or their manager or their fans, I hope this helps.
