We were 4 up against Plymouth and he didn’t get a chance

if Lampard thought anything of him, he would have gave him some mins then
lampard was asked after the game why he didn’t, he said there were players in front of him that deserved minutes before him, Lampard rates him, players do as well, he’ll get games

The club will be losing 5million a season at least. That will be where some of your money has gone. The owner isn’t going to indefinitely keep covering losses. I think people on here have real short term memories when it comes to previous ownership. We’re going to trade players where we can to continue to invest in the squad and club as a whole. There’s no magic money tree.
Can you give a guesstimate of the outgoings annually against the inward investment?

Not sure but when he was appointed at Stoke it said they’d have to pay compo because technically Robins was only put on gardening leave, not sacked.

what said they’d have to pay compo?

on garden leave we would have been paying his salary, and other entitlements, and depending on his notice period (if such a thing exists in managers’ contracts) he would’ve just ridden it out and then joined Stoke to avoid any compensation, which would be minimal anyway given we’ve not lost anything as he had been given notice and his contract terminated

I doubt very much what you believe is actually correct

Rates him enough to change the whole formation rather than play him on the right v Norwich. Hope I’m wrong but I think we have another Tavares. Good little player that’s not championship quality.

Genuinely, if he rated him, we would have seen more than 2 seconds of him. Especially as Tats has been dying for a breather. Hardly likely to say this to the press.

Perhaps he still needs time to acclimatise. Had a false start due to injury so hopefully just needs time.

could get a run out on saturday. or at least a more meaningful sub appearance.

My understanding is that DK will inject cash to cover losses each season but aspirational is operational break even. That won’t be achieved this season. No championship club has achieved operational break even. DK will inject money for players if they are deemed the right fit. Player trading has to supplement this. Anyone who says DK has no money is clueless or has an agenda. How much he is prepared to inject is the question.

Yes, that's the reason we started with a back 5.
Lampard as shown he'll play someone out of position on the left, but he wasn't prepared to start with him on the right.
We were never going to play 433. And for 91 mins it was a brilliant move, it wasn’t the game to give him his first start or bring him on

I agree 100% with that tbf.

He is miles away from match fitness but even with match fitness the lad isn't gonna be at this level.

You can just tell. if he was a top player, Lampard would have brought him on for half hour or started him for 45 minutes.

Managers will rush any non injured player back to 100 percent match fitness if they are rated highly.

Lampard for me will make the mistake of not moving on 3 of our 4 centre backs and rebuilding our defence before touching the midfield. Torp and Eccles are absolutely woeful players, they offer nothing to our side, you only have to have a look around the Leagues to see just how bad they are.

Lampard for me will try and fix this position as a priority, but the defenders for me are even worse, the 2 centre backs and 2 midfield players are the why we are where we are, but you start with rebuilding your defence.

The title says signing within 48 hours. Is that bailed on or just meeting DK and then 'thinking it over'?

I mean that’s not true but OK. We had a fully fit squad at the start of the season and he didn’t.
What about that isn’t true?

Made most his career appearances and goals at ST. As for our team now, EMC and Wright are our two best attacking players and they both can’t play LW. So either one of them plays RW or Wright plays as a striker.

That he’d be playing striker with a fully fit squad. He only plays striker when we play two up front.
