Ok, this has what to do with my post?
You appear to think the book will cover all goings on such as what I mentioned as you asked why wouldn't they be mentioned. Therefore torch was merely pointing out that Les Reid had asked if his gagging order would be covered in the book. Do you think it will be?
Yes.
So the chief reporter for the telegraph will reveal in his book that the telegraph he works for gagged a fellow journalist. Which resulted in fellow journalist winning an out of court settlement. Ok.
Why was he dismissed? Why did he get a pay out? Why did the editor suddenly leave the day les reid stopped his gardening leave and "spoke" again?Yes.
The out of court settlement was regarding unfair dismissal.
Why was he dismissed? Why did he get a pay out? Why did the editor suddenly leave the day les reid stopped his gardening leave and "spoke" again?
That's what makes it look dodgy, unless you know something different?
He wasn't dismissed he resigned.
He'd been suspended as it was viewed he was “too obstinate and arguably insubordinate”. I thought the payout was following him bring his suspension to a hearing which found in his favour.
From what I read, the former editor got a new job and moved on - nothing I'm aware of to suggest the two things are intrinsically linked.
linked apart from being on the same day wasn't it?
Where is the link for the reason for him being suspended?
Is mr gilbert a cov fan?
No but after 9 months or whatever it was it makes it a bit of a co incidence doesn't it?Two things happening on the same day doesn't automatically make them intrinsically linked.

Interesting though as the telegraph will surely be taking action for the libel etc he is tweeting, after all Simon did try a thinly vieled threat once about his editor not liking something on here.
Reminds me of the Life of Brian scenario with local and parish councils!Yup,a bit premature, the dust hasn't settled yet. And why are there a load of posters slagging it off when then haven't read it or have a clue what it says? It may be nonsense, it may be interesting, I can't tell unless I've read it or at least someone I trust has and publishes a review.
Reid wasn't sack, he resigned. He'd been suspended
he wasn't sack, dismissed or suspended from his role at CT.
What I don't get is why if there are some unknown revelations in it, they aren't in the telegraph as exclusives? How does that work, if he knows something amazing and puts them in his book rather than the telegraph
1, What would the book be of use to anyone if it had all been in the CET already. What I don't get is why if there are some unknown revelations in it, they aren't in the telegraph as exclusives? How does that work, if he knows something amazing and puts them in his book rather than the telegraph
And you want us to believe what you say when you can't even agree with yourself in the same post
Well there you go.Honestly, it really helps if you actually read all of the words before firing back comments like this.
I presume he works at Trinity Mirror and knows all the details.Well there you go.
I saw what I wanted to see. I could see what you put but made it look different.
You saw the editor leave the same day as one of the people working under him got a settlement for the way he had been treated. And being the editor the odds are that the way he was treated was down to him. But you only see it as a coincidence.
Well there you go.

And I suppose the smilie meant nothing.
You said I'd disagreed with myself in the same post. No, I was talking about two people.
Also, the editor didn't leave the same day as the settlement.
Unlike those that follow Sisu and bask in their success ?Yes. He's cheer leader for the new breed who prefer London wasps and want the club to die.
And I suppose the smilie meant nothing.
So you don't find it strange that the editor wad given time to find a job before a settlement was made?
Unlike those that follow Sisu and bask in their success ?
Both clubs can be successful it's not either or. It's just CCFC needs to work a little harder at it. Oh yea and get rid of Sisu.
What a load of bollocks. So wanting what is best for CCFC is following SISU?Unlike those that follow Sisu and bask in their success ?

There you go again. You only see what you want to or won't admit that you see more.Right, OK explain in the context of saying "And you want us to believe what you say when you can't even agree with yourself in the same post" the smilie meant? You've tried to call me out for contradicting myself but had actually misread what I said because it was about two people - how does you now highlighting the smilie take away from that.
Make your mind up! First you're trying to say it happened the same day and now that it was strange he was given time to find a job. The editor had moved to a new job before LR had taken the matter to a hearing. The settlement happened several months afterwards.
Bask in their success? What success would that be? We did well last year for a bit. Didn't hear any songs praising sisu. Meanwhile how many are basking in wasps business success etc? People such as yourself. Stop talking shit. Stick to horses and car parks.
There you go again. You only see what you want to or won't admit that you see more.
First point in bold, can't see it.Unlike those that follow Sisu and bask in their success ?

He did not publish anything until the industrial tribunal passed judgement. How exactly was les reid gagged?
Coventry Telegraph political correspondent Les Reid has resigned and warned he may sue publisher Trinity Mirror.
Reid also said it was “good news” editor Alun Thorne is leaving the paper this month.
Announcing his resignation on Twitter, Reid said he was planning a book on the “decline of public interest journalism”.
Reid also said he would be writing more on the subject of Coventry City Football Club, which announced it had sold its stadium to London Wasps.
What a load of bollocks. So wanting what is best for CCFC is following SISU?
CCFC will have to work a lot harder. Wasps are taking over everything that our club needs but you still preach on the side of Wasps. How are we supposed to be successful without a ground to play in if Wasps continue to refuse to have talks? How are we supposed to be successful if our academy loses its home?
You defend CCC. You defend Wasps. You defend CET. You try to blame SISU for everything. Yet you think that you have an unbiased view. Or at least say that you do.Also, what does "won't admit that you see more" mean?
