I had us win Sunderland, draw Sheffield United and WBA with a loss to Burnley. In my predictions, I only had us getting 3 points out of the three games against the top 4 teams. We are they already so anything else is now a bonus in my eyes, it also helps if we have another Derby along the way in what we might call our easier fixtures.
Didn’t stop me sneaking out of mine to see an Ian Wallace hat trickYes it is, a mate of mine has decided to get married that day
Carried away maybe and I don't doubt that Sunderland won't be as bad as they were Saturday for the rest of the season but do you reckon we could make 10 points up on them and have a potential second leg at our place in the play offs?
I hope not. Really want them to turn over West Brom and Bristol C for us.Carried away maybe and I don't doubt that Sunderland won't be as bad as they were Saturday for the rest of the season but do you reckon we could make 10 points up on them and have a potential second leg at our place in the play offs?

They haven't been very good since the start of the year but have been grinding out results.Carried away maybe and I don't doubt that Sunderland won't be as bad as they were Saturday for the rest of the season but do you reckon we could make 10 points up on them and have a potential second leg at our place in the play offs?

Yes and YesOr more to the point, it's looking lightly we will play Sunderland in the playoffs, can Sunderland play as bad next time we play them and can we play as good the next time we play them.
It was on the cards before we played them. Their biggest weaknesses are our biggest strengths. They also have a big injury list.Or more to the point, it's looking lightly we will play Sunderland in the playoffs, can Sunderland play as bad next time we play them and can we play as good the next time we play them.
AgreedThink it’s far, far more important we concentrate on the teams breathing down our necks rather than keep our eyes on the team almost out of sight.
I just really want to avoid Burnley. Will squeeze the life out of a game. Happy to go to pens with their keeper too I'd imagine, a bit of a specialist.Have to get fifth for me. We can beat Sunderland over two legs and anything can happen at Wembley, I’d be less confident about Burnley or Sheff Utd over two legs.
Nobody's in a false position.I think Sunderland are in a false position, due to a fantastic start to the season , watched them a few times since Christmas and they look poor . Think 5th and 6th will be between us and WBA
I'm not so sure about Sheffield United. Their injury list keeps growing and like Sunderland they haven't played well for ages. They have been flogging their players to death and are now paying for it. Even Hamer has been out a couple of times recently for muscle injuries.Have to get fifth for me. We can beat Sunderland over two legs and anything can happen at Wembley, I’d be less confident about Burnley or Sheff Utd over two legs.
No but he scored and created a hell of a lot of goals in the run in to the play off final.Hamer doesnt give you the same qualities as Grimes. No chance Hamer sits in front of the defence and dictates play.

I sort of agree with what you're saying, certainly if you said pick one to lose I'd say Burnley. But until we are guaranteed play offs, our best results are just to beat everyone.Still genuinely think weirdly our best results next two are to beat Sheff Utd and lose to Burnley to give them the edge.

I think we'll get a point. Most likely the home game, thus helping the Blunts.Yeah it’s a bit cocky. And I think we’ll lose both anyway, I just really don’t want to watch two legs against Burnley.

Sheffield United haven't beat a single team in the top 6 btw. Although the recent stat that came out about our form in away games during the week has me cursing its a Friday night rather than a regular Saturday game. All getting a bit what if but if we don’t lose to Sheff Utd and them and Bristol make the playoffs with us and Sunderland none of the other PO teams would have beaten us this season. Obviously if it’s Burnley and WBA they have.
