I guess if racist views are now above board then crack on.It’s not a contrarian mind - some people get offended others don’t - who judges what is correct and what isn’t?
So if anyone is offended by anything someone puts on here it should be removed?
It’s the same here for Moroccans but there are a lot of first and second generation Albanians. If you saw them you’d probably think they’re Italian. It's pretty much a meme over here about Albanians being drug dealers and it's fact about weed farms and prison numbers?
It doesn't mean every albanian is a criminal, of course not. It doesn't mean every albanian should be arrested on sight.
Let's not pretend it doesn't play a part in people's thoughts or investigations of things. It's human nature.
It's just the same as people's first thought about car washes nowadays will be Eastern Europeans. Same as barbers, nail salons will have a lot of asian people.
Thoughts yes, assumptions not so much. Thoughts are human nature, I agree there.
I know full well that there have been Muslim terror attacks, I also know shitloads of Muslims who are wonderful people, and that the ones who do these things are a tiny minority, but also that when they do happen they are horrific. I also know that Nigeria has a fraud problem, but that in the UK Nigerians are performing really well in education, contributing to the economy and are long integrated, therefore I am able to avoid ‘assumptions’ that “Nigerians are predisposed to fraud” when we’re talking about Nigerians in the UK.
I agree that thoughts are just human nature, but when they become racial stereotypes of entire groups the likes of which are going up on here, I don’t agree one bit.
I see these racist stereotypes as a sign of a lack of intelligence to be honest, an inability to see that the actions of some people doesn’t mean that entire races are put in a box. Not all English people are hooligans, not all Muslims are terrorists, not all Nigerians are fraudsters. Thoughts are one thing and understandable, but deal in fact, not ‘assumptions’
So people's assumptions can't be discussed?
I'm pretty sure nobody thinks every Nigerian person is into fraud or every albanian is into drug dealing.
Again, have a look at the Manchester Bombings as an example where it can go too far the other way where people are scared to act on gut feelings.
I'm guessing knife crime is barely tackled because of it in some areas.
Judge absolutely nails one of these fuckwits and highlights their hypocrisy:
I saw this alright. And obviously it does not mean all white English people are crooks and villains.
With that fact in mind, why the fuck is it so hard for people to grasp that not all Muslims are terrorists, not all Nigerians are fraudsters, and why is it ok for people to keeping saying that they are, and assuming that they are?
Nobody is saying or assuming that every muslim is a terrorist.
People assume that a terrorist is muslim. Rightly or wrongly.
They have said that Nigerians are predisposed to fraud, clearly in the context of the U.K., and lied that someone else said it when they didn’t, which is what started this, that’s over the line.
I think there are quite a few people who do think that way:

I think the problem is that this smaller group gets emboldened by the larger group you’re talking about.
So Albanians and weed farms isn't over the line?
I don't think it is clearly in the context of the UK, rightly or wrongly if you say online fraud then people's first thought would be nigerian scams. I've worked in IT over 20 years, if you wanted to start cancelling everybody who made a link between Nigerians and online scams and fraud then there wouldn't have been many workers. Much the same as "Indian Callcentres trying to hack me".
So you think Harry Krishna was commenting on Nigeria the country as opposed to Nigerians in the U.K., despite the ‘source’ of his comment being articles specifically discussing immigrants in the U.K.
Not much more that can be said with this level of deflection- deliberate or otherwise.
Again, why is it the Nigerian comment you find offensive as opposed to the Albanian one?
I don’t like any of them, but when you’re so determined to pretend “he didn’t really mean it that way” when the actual article he put up was specifically discussing the U.K. (I mean, how stupid do you actually have to be to pretend it wasn’t about the U.K.?) and scrambling for an out like this, what’s the point.
Was sending the convicts to Australia a bit like the Rwandan project now? Give it a generation and Rwanda will be beating us at cricket! The little girl in London is an Australian on holiday as well FFS.
Its awful.

I have Irish parents and am shite at DIY.Hello!
I was actually requoting from memory the gist of Trevor Phillips' C4 documentary and associated report that certain ethnic groups are associated with certain types of crime. It struck me as an incredibly honest thing to say, which at the time - as now, could not be said by a white person. I don't recall the exact wording but think it did refer to crime within the UK. He also said the same about economic activity (irish builders, Indian shop keepers etc.), but I'm fucked if I'm going to start looking for page numbers for a very minor Internet squabble.
PS: do any of you characters have jobs or spend time in pursuits other than bickering on the Internet?
Even more bizarreYeah, it seems like it was a truly random attack on a little girl. Fucking horrible.
Even more bizarre
Just madness
Don’t know the answer to this knife madness
Bollocks, you're definitely a wankerI have Irish parents and am shite at DIY.
If that's the screenshot then it's shocking. The guy who saved them should be in his own articles praising him. This is appalling from the DM
Is it not a 5 year mandatory sentence?Increase stop and search.
Increase the sentence for carrying one.
I know the riots were wrong but should people pushing a wheelie bin at police be getting sent down for longer than somebody carrying a knife?
I’m on holiday for a few weeks as it happens.Hello!

You know " shit loads of Muslims....."Thoughts yes, assumptions not so much. Thoughts are human nature, I agree there.

2023 about 30 % end with just cautions according to Home Office. Immediate custodial sentences fallen as low 30% - average of 7.8 months. Is it not a 5 year mandatory sentence?
My first thought was that. Just the same as the Manchester bombing , the Borough Market attacks , the London Underground attacks . The list goes on.Terrorists have common strategies regardless of their ideology. If your first thought in reaction to Southport was ‘he’s a Muslim’, maybe it’s you that needs to do some introspection as well.
That’s an actual disgrace.2023 about 30 % end with just cautions according to Home Office. Immediate custodial sentences fallen as low 30% - average of 7.8 months.
