But now he’s had that explained to him and tried to compare the evidentiary level with Tommy Mair I think it’s obvious he’s just scrabbling around for a reason to be racist about Muslims. Which we have no evidence this kid even was. And even if he was we have no evidence he committed this crime as an Islamist attack rather than just being a nutter who happened to be Muslim.
I assume we now recognise him attacking a classmate with a hockey stick at 13 as an Islamist terror attack too.

Sentencing hearing has started and it sounds like the defendant is doing his best to turn it into a circus, shouting he's unwell in the courtroom (having been medically cleared to attend overnight). He sounds utterly deranged, as i suppose anyone would that committed such acts. I just hope there's a way the victim's families can get some closure or sense of dignity from the process.
