Blame the new prime minister.

Dangerous people are those posting online now remember.
I think the previous incumbents have much more blame to shoulder

Well we’ve talked about that the posting stuff

I'd like to say I'm surprised some of you revelling in the blame game of one government or another. These are not either or for me. The cunts rioting deserve locking up. The cunts being freed should still be locked up. If we're running out of space then make prison building and expansion a priority. And until they're built, then make them 3 to a cell if necessary. Ffs if they don't like it tough, they're not in for a holiday.
How do you manage that Rob?
Where do you put the beds?
What if they don’t get on?
What personal space do you think people need?
how would you want a brother or friend to be treated?

Here’s the law
Most prisons are meeting the overcrowded statutes presently. There is no space

From 7 years ago it’s much more challenging now

Change the regulations, change the law.

Start with the worst offenders, if they kill eachother, ah well.

As for the beds, remove the tv and PlayStations plenty of room for another bed.

A lot of those locked up are for heinous crimes, the whole point of keeping the scum locked away is to keep the streets safe for the average person. If they need to share cells or even beds, I for one won't even give them a second thought.

Do you think it’s possible to maintain safety 24 hours a day 7 days a week with 1000 adults with nothing to do?
you’d be better to read the prison reform publications than the daily mail

You’d be surprised
Last stats I saw were something like 30000 of 88000 on remand so unaentenced
Also tens of thousands serving less than 12 months

Don't be so bloody condescending. Certainly have never read the DM and no intentions of reading prison guides. Simply behaving and knowing right from wrong is what I'll continue to live by. Some make poor choices and are unfortunate most I'd bet are cunts.

The issue with people like you Pete is you're most likely to be more angry with me for having an opinion that disagrees with yours own than with those who have committed actual crimes.

Speed the system up then, although not helpful if most are guilty and likely to receive a custodial.

It can be done when it suits the powers that be.

Presumably those serving less than 12 months are not guilty of heinous crimes, let them out earlier if needs be.

No way not angry with you at all
Why would I be?
People like me?

I think don’t imprison them
Needs a complete rethink and meaningful community penalties for me
Since Covid we’ve known there were huge numbers of cases needing to be tried it’s classic ostrich behaviour and then heaping scorn on someone trying to solve it
Sorry to Rob too for coming over as condescending I don’t mean to

It’s ok no one bad is being released

Oh hold on

Stop moaning we had to let him out as some people saying bad things on the internet count more as it makes the PM look tough

Or acting strong nipped the rioting in the bud and avoided more issues.

Fine to let dangerous people on the streets then - I’m sure they will not cause any issues

Tell me within the law what the alternatives are / were?

Keep them in and not showboat and rapidly trial people and put them in prison. It’s total nonsense. Sorry your chum Starmer is responsible - it’s he and he alone who chooses this route

You think the riots would have just stopped ok that’s an interesting opinion
Not my chum but I do feel sorry for the position he’s been left in with the prison estate. There are no spaces - it’s not hard to understand or is it???

There’s obviously been a great deal of thought put in to who should be released. Not.
What a bunch of wankers this mob are turning out to be.
Is this a serious comment ?
You can read who has been released it’s pretty public knowledge although some of the media haven’t got things right

It is. Context of Releasing people who are immediately re arrested for rape showing how much thought put in to it,
No point discussing it is there. There is no space in our prison estate
These people were being released after 50% of their sentence it’s now 40%
