Fair enough respect your opinion, but if you really think the club need to charge extra then I think you’re mistaken there. I think the demand for this game is getting slightly ridiculous from some fans, it’s midweek, in a cup that nobody really cares about and will likely be playing a second string spurs side. The thing is, the CBS won’t be a sell out now, which is disappointing. A lot of families will be priced out of going. We froze season ticket prices when after the club had the season it did, it made sense to cash in. So charging a bit extra for in-demand cup matches, I have no qualms with. It's likely going to be a 1 in 50 match - odds our that we have more draws like Oxford at home than Tottenham or another Top 6 team.
The club fundamentally got it right on the big thing that matters: season tickets. That's where loyal supporters got a small reward for our continued support and at the same time attracted new supporters.
Indeed-or make a few sandwichesDon't get this, you don't have to buy food for everybody and can park somewhere cheap.
Getting food and drinks for 4 is going to be more than the cost of a ticket.
can't lie, I'd be more than happy to be paying a pound a minute to watch us in the Champions League in the next 12 monthsreference to the villa but this could be us next based on the past 12 months
Be very surprised if this is not a near sell out.
Unless we are really pants between now and then, I would still expect a big crowd. Lot of floating supporters will turn up. Hope they don't kill the atmosphere like the Chelsea match.

That’s a pretty outdated view @GIMOCclearly you are lying because it’s impossible
football should always be a working class sport

The future is already here . To be honest personally I'm not bothered about the Spurs game , I will be at the Swansea game though. That’s a pretty outdated view @GIMOC
Surely football should be available to all, not just the working class, however that is defined.
The issue is that lower income families are being priced out of all elite entertainment which can’t be healthy for society. Look at the price of Oasis and Taylor Swift tickets for example.
The future is inclusion not exclusion .

I’m over 50 of course I was around.not really
if you were around in the league 2 days. Football was proper, the crowd was proper
you speak to Luton fans. they said the prem was rubbish. atmosphere non existent. it’s all materialIsed
football is a money business now. Fans are an afterthought
I’m over 50 of course I was around.
I have a different view.
The football was crap, the atmosphere depressing, everything about the club smelt of imminent non league football.
Yes the fans that attended were hard core and truly loved the club, but that didn’t compensate for all the rest of shit. I can’t tell you how many times I drove back from away matches thinking why do I do this to myself. If we are honest I wasn’t alone with that thought.
I totally agree on the primary motivation of football clubs though, it is now big business and no longer a community based sport.
Is it better to be a top 6 club in the championship winning most weeks or a bottom 5 club in the premier league losing most weeks …. Now that is a different debate and very little to do with the make up of the crowds attending the fixtures !
Fair enough. Each to their own.many would say league 2 days were great in terms of days out , the old school feel of the grounds. football was poor as was everything behind the scenes but we felt as one. we pulled together. going to Fleetwood on a Tuesday night separated the die hards from the day trippers
I had great memories from L2 and L1. some bad ones too like Forest Green but we as a fan base would still be there. the time between 2007 and 2017 was the worse experience for me and most of them years we were in the championship. same teams and grounds on a yearly basis and the football was just as bad
Fair enough. Each to their own.
give me Wolves away last season to any league 2 fixture away any day of the week.
True.Wolves away was great but give me notts county away any day of the week
much more rode on that game that wolves
What I meant was there was still a few thousand (not counting the away fans) not with season tickets that were happy to pay or the difference between 28k and the 22k ST holders. Most people at that Oxford game were paying £17 as part of their season ticket prices to be fair.
Maybe.22k were season ticket holders. only 6k paid full whack
for this game. I would say 17k season ticket holders will take up the game which leaves 10k+ non season ticket holders to pay full whack. could be wrong but can’t see 10k arm chair fans paying that
I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soonif we don't like these ticket prices we're gonna hate it when we get promoted.
Stranger things have happened.I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon

I think it might be better in the championship without that game killing VAR nonsense….I’m over 50 of course I was around.

Away games yes, I hated home games - 7000 in a 32,000 was embarrassing and we felt and looked like MK Donsnot really

League 2 is rightly looked back on as enjoyable because we went upLeague 2 was rubbish

For loads of games in League 2 it was a good crowd if there were 4 or 5 people in our entire row in block 15.
Horrible days, those home games were enough to make some fall out of love with football.
£20 for kids is reasonably priced according to Spurs.
£25 for kids when they play Utd away.
