Lowest ebb for me was the wet February defeat at Forest Green. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a game.People getting nostalgic about League 2 - it was an adventure for sure, but wasnt as easy as some made out. We only own 9 away and we'd only won 4 away before the last game in Feb when McNulty scored that pen that we spoke about on here last week when it was freezing cold. That was the catalyst to go on a run imo and when it when we only just snook into the play-offs right at the end. It could easily have been us in Notts Co position if we didnt get up that year and we were very, very lucky in how we did.
Accrington away, there was this bloke in front of us who for some reason (I assume pissed!) insisted on giving their left winger dogs abuse for 45 minutes in the second half. He was even shouting out how earned more money than him, in fact he told him that about a dozen times, At first it was funny, I think by the end of the game most our stand wanted to fill him in. We were on the side as we also had the terrace behind the goal.It wasn't, teams really didn't care.
We turned up at towns and expected it to be their biggest game in history and every ground we visited was empty.
That League 2 season is looked back on fondly because it finished with Cheltenham and Notts County away and Wembley.
There were good moments that season, especially in the cup run but games like Forest Green and Morecambe were the lowest points in the clubs history. Accrington away where fans were abusing the players like never before.
Other days that were dreadful include Yeovil away early on. That horror miss from McNulty when we drew 0-0 away at Chesterfield. Colchester away with about 180 away fans on a Tuesday night in February where we conceded in the last minute.
It was an awful season with a couple of good days out and a good cup run.
I'd agree although at the time it was a first visit to the ground and my first ever Vegan pie. Been back twice since for the Checkatrade nil-nil and the pre-season friendly, quite the hat-trick!Lowest ebb for me was the wet February defeat at Forest Green. Villa's match day income is something like 1/10th of their revenue. The fans will pay it tho I think, for most of the ties at any rate.reference to the villa but this could be us next based on the past 12 months
Went to the pre-season friendly, but not the Checkatrade.I'd agree although at the time it was a first visit to the ground and my first ever Vegan pie. Been back twice since for the Checkatrade nil-nil and the pre-season friendly, quite the hat-trick!

Yep was on the side we had for the friendly. In the Checkatrade they gave us behind the goal under cover.Rained all day. Horrible to park. No pubs. Vega pie at half time. Could hardly see the pitch as the stand was 3 rows deep. No roof. No atmosphere.
Makes me grateful of every game we've played in recent years.
What makes it third world? You reckon, most of it is like a third world shit hole
I was at that Colchester game ‘I think Tom Bayliss scored.Other days that were dreadful include Yeovil away early on. That horror miss from McNulty when we drew 0-0 away at Chesterfield. Colchester away with about 180 away fans on a Tuesday night in February where we conceded in the last minute.
You aren’t supposed to take food in to the arena though.Indeed-or make a few sandwiches
that was shit, I remember Newport being pretty wank as wellRained all day. Horrible to park. No pubs. Vega pie at half time. Could hardly see the pitch as the stand was 3 rows deep. No roof. No atmosphere.

He one of those with a certain...attitude...What makes it third world?
you can’t moan about ticket prices if you’re buying a programme every match ffs£25, £30, £37 on your own probably not the end of the world. 2 adults 2 kids, parking, food, programme probably £150+ for a midweek meaningless game, albeit against Spurs reserves, on Sky, late night, kids at school. Anyone who doesn't understand either the difference or family economics probably won't get it.
The average family is not being priced out though are they. We're playing Spurs FFS and its the same price for kids as it was against Oxofrd and cheaper than it was against Norwich. I'm not saying its right, i'm sayings its the norm as proven below.
28K v Oxford U18 £20
27K v Norwich U18 £25

I think it may be on the supporters forum thread, the club have basically said the admission system is fucked and there were problems with paper tickets for the Oxford game, being worked on with the FrasersNo E tickets again, which seems a bit backward
Glad we got the STs , they don’t make life easy if you haven’t.
the issues were with the e-tickets in the 2 preseason gamesI think it may be on the supporters forum thread, the club have basically said the admission system is fucked and there were problems with paper tickets for the Oxford game, being worked on with the Frasers
What I meant was there was still a few thousand (not counting the away fans) not with season tickets that were happy to pay or the difference between 28k and the 22k ST holders.
Basically same single match ticket price to watch Oxford as it is to see spurs…
You obviously don't live in Coventry, or you walk round with your eyes closed. What makes it third world?
Not so sure he hates children but get the impression money now (to him) is more important than the future fan base.Mr King, your children-hating campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train, why are you so unpopular?
