He’s made it quite clear he will get the club as close to sustainable as he can. The more successful that process is the more attractive prospect it will be and he should be able to offload for a considerable profit. My main concern is the club’s long term future and what happens if we don’t get promoted within the next 4 seasons. I don’t think here’s here beyond that time.
Nobody is being hammered. The list of criticisms saddle listed earlier in the thread were pretty nonsensical and he’s been rightly picked up on that. That’s the point? People like @Saddlebrains are being hammered for daring to criticise King or make these question
if the concerns come to fruition - we’re literally no better off than we were with SISU.
we’ve been here before, let’s at least learn from the past
There’s a lot Riding in it all being in place in 5 years - all the players contracts are 5 years, the arena lease is 5 years. He’s made it quite clear he will get the club as close to sustainable as he can. The more successful that process is the more attractive prospect it will be and he should be able to offload for a considerable profit.
I don’t think not getting promoted within the 5 year plan is the disaster it’s being made out to be.
I’d hazard a guess someone with an issue with not getting in free as a carer for a child with a disability as it mentions U14 and fans with needs?I wonder what this is about?
I think o’hare has known where he’s moving for a while .
Wow what a knobI wonder what this is about?
Someone is peeved at not getting a free ticket it seems.I wonder what this is about?
none of them are making grand statements and targets of being in the top 6 in 3/5 seasons
How many clubs have a lease running out in 4 years?
Like I said. At the moment King is doing alright, the infrastructure is getting investment, and we’re acting more professional and a more premier outfit. but there’s a lot of legitimate worries about King and his plans
As people have mentioned here, if we really were in the bidding at ~8-9M for Rollheiser that would indicate that we still have cash to spend without waiting for 3rd party sales (Hamer/Vik) sales or selling Sheaf. If you assume EMC cost half that fee, that leaves around 4M left.
I would suspect we want to invest 2-3x this summer, so hopefully we can do that without depending on sales. I am not convinced Vik goes anywhere - the # of teams who can afford him and have qualified for CL next season is pretty damn small and unless Sporting's coach Amorim moves, I suspect he may stay and get an improved deal.
Someone hiding behind a computer, with a story to give if someone will listen.I wonder what this is about?
Andy Turner seemed to think the interest was real. Minor point but the apparent bid was £6m going up to £9m on promotion. Might hint at probably just shy of £2m still being available from the Hamer cash if EMC was £4.25m.De
Is there any evidence at all we really were in at that price for Rollheiser?

Yeah after Torp. Like you say hard to gage how much of those sales fees were spent. Was this after we’d signed Torp as well? Sorry I can’t remember the details.
by my rough count we’ve spent the Vik and Gus count but the margin of error on fees both ways is huge so who knows

No context to verify the man’s grievance and he’s ‘a knob’?Wow what a knob
The window isn't even open yet so I doubt itHopefully we see a signing this week
Grievance is without doubt legitimateNo context to verify the man’s grievance and he’s ‘a knob’?
Sounds like a genuine grievance to me, and since he mentioned ‘needs’, I’m deducing that the club isn’t honouring concessions for special needs kids/disabled kids, or something similar.
If that’s the case, it’s a pretty low blow.
Well at least some news thenThe window isn't even open yet so I doubt it
Well, it does sound like he’s been in communication with the club, and he stated quite emphatically that their response was ‘shameful’.Grievance is without doubt legitimate
Going on social media and saying you will not be buying etc etc etc etc etc is the knobbish thing
Why not change the clubs decision or at least try
How is this on topic ?
Simeon Jackson is close to getting doneAnd on that note.. Anyone heard any rumors/ players we are possibly close to signing or are in for?
Good challenge I’ll askWell, it does sound like he’s been in communication with the club, and he stated quite emphatically that their response was ‘shameful’.
Not what I would class as a knob, myself, just someone venting on social media. He sounds like a father who loves his team, but has been let down by the club.
I’d be interested to learn the actual details of his grievance, and if the club has indeed cut concessions for special needs kids etc.
What's his crime?Simeon Jackson is close to getting done
I’m not sure that would do their accounts any favours.I've wondered on this is the value set by a tribunal?
Is there anything to stop the two teams saying in the contract the player being swapped was worth £5m or so? Then if both teams have sell on clauses they both benefit.
His performances for usWhat's his crime?
In all seriousness Rudoni is being linked quite a lotAnd on that note.. Anyone heard any rumors/ players we are possibly close to signing or are in for?
Well at least some news then
I don’t have a clue but it’s a transfer I can see getting done to be honest I swear we were interested in him prior to his huddersfield move and he’d suit as someone who could play 8/10In all seriousness Rudoni is being linked quite a lot
Hmmm can’t tell if that’s just a passing comment or a hint at a signingWe could see a player join in advance of their contract expiring
He was close to done when we signed himSimeon Jackson is close to getting done
His stats are shite but every time we have played Hudds recently he has certainly passed the eye test. At times when we played Hudds it looked like a one man show, he is 22 averages a goal involvement at about 1 in 6 games, in an absolute shite team. You put him in our squad with the coaching, players and Robins i think the goal involvement would be 1 in 3.In all seriousness Rudoni is being linked quite a lot
I like him and has always been their best player but that’s not hardHis stats are shite but every time we have played Hudds recently he has certainly passed the eye test.
