Mate's a coach at Cambridge, on Yearn: "Surprised he’s ended up higher, I thought he’d go National League to play. Very talented, very soft. He was probably rated highest for a while out of the academy players but Harris and clearly Monk didn’t fancy him. There’s a good player there, probably goes missing a little bit too much for that level though"

Because they probably realise Coventry can develope their talent better? Perhaps the players think they will be coached better at Coventry?

It happens all the time youth players move between clubs. Believe it or not they often have agents too.

Let's hope so , only time will tell.

Academies, ultimately would like someone to come through and make the first team. But that is rare. Their main job is to develop players into professional footballers even if it is Lge One, Lge Two or even National League.

Coventry have a good record. The clubs fans just look at our first team and sell on transfer fees. But that is not really how they are judged and certainly not on match results.

If you get a first teamer through every 5 years you are doing well. Less than 5 per cent of academy players nationally get a pro contract

The fact we have several playing in lower leagues is good, but our fans think they are failures.

How can a woman who has never actually played a pre season game arrange them for us. This club is turning worryingly woke.
I think he was JOKING!

Okay it is a joke?

The way it is written the subject is a woman ( or our Performance Director)?

If you want to laugh at sexist ideas surely it should be something like...

I bet there is a fan somewhere thinking this...
Then the subject is a fictitious fan who is out dated in their views.

Please feel free to explain and qualify the target of the joke?

Yes, true, but then we've signed EMC, Rodrigues, Binks and Rudoni, I don't think any team in the champ has signed more than that.

Well maybe Stoke as always and Sheffield United who allegedly have a queue waiting to be rubber stamped pending takeover?

Think you will find they are everywhere now with the trendy kids, chaps and girls. Will hit Cov in a couple of years.

They signed Olaf Kobacki from Arka Gdynia, the Polish team I watch. I'd be gutted if we signed anyone from that level of football. It's going back years and taking punts on the likes of Hilssner.

Oh yeh I'm not commenting on the quality of the signings. Just the number.
