Hyam also stood watching for our goal as well.

He's been picked ahead of Rose for the last two years. Why would that change now?

Rose has been great for the last month or so. 4 clean sheets in 6 for example. Based on current form there is little in it. I certainly wouldn't drop Panzo or McFadzean.

If he was still here I'm pretty certain the first choice back 3 would by Hyam - Fadz - Panzo

He would have because that was what we were used to but we've been far better defensively since he's gone.
Because Robins changed the way we played to more defensive and direct, especially in light of the O'Hare injury. I don't buy the "oh, there's no way he'd have been able to adapt as well as Michael Rose, Hyam leaving tightened up our defence, that's it, it's not that he was one of our best defenders at all actually, he was actually, holding us back, Boddy got a bargain and the high-flying Blackburn fans are blind" line..

Dom Bobby Moore Hyam was poor tonight and should've been sent off

Or Hyam was actually a good player but nothing stand out as the others have adapted fine.

Bit different to if we had sold Vik, Hamer, O'Hare or Sheaf etc..

I'm not sure playing next to Ayala can help much. He was awful last night, slow, giving free kicks away all around the box. Just checked his age expecting him to be pushing Richard Wood and Jagielka, shocked that he's only 31 still.

So he'd get ahead of Rose when Fadz isn't available. Otherwise he might make the bench.
Go take a look at goalcam from last night, and tell us what you make of Hyam's defending.

He'd get ahead of Rose and play alongside Fadz every week. Like he did for the last two years. It's nuts to suggest otherwise.

What's nuts is to be banging on about an average player who's no longer here.

Since he left, we've kept more clean sheets and looked stronger as a unit.

That maybe partly due to a tactical change or bringing in better players or just luck, but the stats don't lie.

Didn't notice many pleasantries exchanged between our squad and Hyam last night? Did see Vik's slight goading after our goal.
