So do we keep having referendums until a certain percentage is achieved or that we vote to remain in the Eu to keep the remainers happy?
It happened and the country voted to leave. People should accept it and try and help instead of hinder the process.

Parliament can't pass a deal, and is against a no-deal brexit. Brexit isn't going to happen until something gives, and the liklihood is that a GE or referendum will be needed to break the impasse.

So far the brexit party has gained a further 7% than just the ukip vote.

One thing is for sure, I doubt either Labour or the conservatives would be too keen on a general election after tonight

Rumour has it dianne Abbott has been doing the numbers and thinks Labour could win by 210% if an election was called

The arrogant tossers on the EU negotiating side have obviously wound up a lot of people. They need to stop pushing to change the UK decision and sort out either a fair deal or prepare for a mutually disruptive no deal.

People are clearly disconnected from both main political parties what with brexit and neither party pleasing its voter base it would / could turn out far worse for either party than they think.

They would I believe both get a good hiding in a general election

The EU has been? And how has it been pushing to change the UK position? Has it ever dawned on you that the UK may have overplayed its hand?

Do you think people would back Farage in a general election?

I think farage would take a good few Conservative and Labour voters, and I think the lib dems would take a good few Labour voters.

It wouldn't go well at this moment in time for Labour or Conservative

Could be wrong

So defending Islam is responsible for the rise of the far right?

It definitely fuels it more, yes.

If we could have open and honest conversations the vacuum for far right extremists wouldn't be gravitated towards.

Look at this thread for examples. Talking about LGBT rights and people are throwing every excuse in the book to try and bail out having to criticise Islam.

Meanwhile the corruption of the right in Austria is balanced out by that of the Socialists in Romania it seems?
Romanians punish ruling party in anti-graft referendum, EU poll - Reuters

Add to that the kerfuffle about EU residents in Britain being turned away from poll stations, again (which I took as a criticism of Britain) - balanced out by Romanians abroad being unable to vote in the elections...& anti-graft referendum! Don't suppose that is of any significance & the EU will get away blameless for it

The EU is blameless in both cases. The sovereign countries are in charge of carrying out the elections within the democratic framework set by the EU. Seems like Romania and the UK are not very good at fair and honest elections any more.

Basically what I can see happening here after this is labour will declare as a remain/peoples vote party, tories will declare as a hard brexit party.

These are the results for the Coventry area only, not the entire West Midlands euro-constituency.

I hope so. You would want the official opposition to offer an alternative on such an important decision. This fudge and playing with words is pathetic from Corbyn. Tom Watson is right on this.

The right aren’t looking for open and honest debate. As your reaction to Pete shows and your previous posts from Fria Tiden. Look at the crap from Breitbart. That cannot be remotely classified as open and honest conversation.

So the repeating story so far seems to be that The Brexit Party are only really taking MEP’s of UKIP, the Lib Dem’s and Greens seem to be the ones taking MEP’s of the Conservatives and Labour and when you lump the parties with a clear remain policy together their votes outnumber those of parties with a clear hard brexit policy.

There’s no appetite for a hard brexit in this country.

Clearly, yet apparently it'll be clear that the country wants to crash out into the unknown because.... Well just because.
