So poverty is worse, unemployment worse, average wage worse, national debt worse but as you like it that’s it
Italy ranks below Poland it’s ahead of Belarus though

I’d rather judge for myself thanks and would much rather live here. I enjoy a much better quality of life.
That list has numerous countries ahead of the UK who in terms of pure economic stats are much worse.
Which to be fair is the EU way. Ignore stats say all Southern Europeans who complain are lazy bastards and I’m all right Jack so screw the poor
Hahahaha brilliant. You have little knowledge of how Italy works and the problems that plague the south of the country and that hold it back.
As ever you try and bring up the south as if it’s separate - so in the UK I guess we can miss out poverty areas of the north
Also given the population density of the relative areas the bulk of the measurement is in the north
Italy is not unique and on every indicator it’s worse
Why do you link any stats at all? Surely after Brexit if I have no negative impact and say so that proves fron your logic of the anecdote that it was all a storm in s teacup?
I’d much rather live in Italy than the UK. Yet I’m not as obsessed with money and consumerism as you clearly are. The quality of life overall is much higher. If you want to delude yourself then go ahead
Unemployment in the north is around 7% and the south is triple that, and in some places four times that. The north and the south are worlds apart in terms of infrastructure, much, much more so than the south and north in England.
Again, you’ve just shown yourself up as having little understanding of the country.
That’s the problem. Some people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
Well I haven’t because 7% is double the UK average and in the lowest areas it’s below 2% and the highest around 6% - so a triple spread the same as Italy. Also care to share the population density on these areas and actual unemployment numbers
Not because it has to be transported here in the first place though? That bumps the cost up & even though they freeze some of it, it's not fresh like it is on the continentCompared to the UK, yes it does.
We don’t go for budget lines either and its much cheaper.

...just bleat on about how terrible & unjust it is but let somebody else deal with itWhich to be fair is the EU way. Ignore stats say all Southern Europeans who complain are lazy bastards and I’m all right Jack so screw the poor
What like you with your exchange rate predictions? That’s the problem. Some people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
Including the Italians on lifestyle measurements it seems
So they reject the EU principles on trade across borders by just buying Italian? If we did that we would probably be berated as protectionist, nationalist or even racist.Yeah that is true, here it’s crazy though and more or less everything is made in Italy, not just food.
Food is also much more seasonal and people eat seasonally and based upon local produce.

There’s no zero hours contracts here to massage the figures.
I’m not denying Italy has problems but it’s problems are internally created and cannot be blamed solely on the EU.
Has the 2003 legislation introducing zero hour contracts in Italy been removed then? When was this?
They are not counted as people being in employment here as far as I’m aware. They’re also nowhere near as widespread as the UK and have more conditions attached to them and obligations for the employer. A few months ago they were talking about trying to get rid of them completely.
Given your handle on stats I think we will take that with a huge ocean of salt
Doesn’t really bother me. Fixed term contracts are much more common here, which are far from ideal either.
Look at those youth unemployment figures!
Yeah it’s what I said, they use fixed term contracts.
Still, I’d rather be going to Lake Garda tomorrow afternoon than walking along Bedworth canal.
Yeah I know, reform is needed and a serious fight taken against organised crime. You’re so swiveled eyed that you try and turn it into an anti EU point.
What like you with your exchange rate predictions?

Awesome comeback - I think most Italians can’t afford to go out of their own street by these figures
Ha ha it’s you that said it’s a great place to live. There is not one stat to support you - if it was Bazza or astute talking like you are about the UK you’d be taking them apart!
It goes to show how much you know about Italy then. As I said, you have little awareness of how the country actually operates.
Nor does its own population it seems as they are the most dissatisfied in Europe
...and they still seem to enjoy the finer things in life more than those in the UK.
