But he wasn’t saying anything that anyone else promoting Brexit wasn’t saying. In fact he was probably saying less. The NHS Brexit bonus for example wasn’t his lie.fair point, he might’ve said it ! (he’s a bullshitting twat though)

Nobody said Brexit would ensure plants losing 100m in 10 years wouldn’t close ?! As I said, the articles saying it’s nothing to do with Brexit (or certainly isn’t a major factor)
I don’t recall many people saying there would be some kind of jobs boost or Brexit would save jobs from failing plants. The general commentary was that if we voted Brexit hundreds of thousands of jobs would be lost (if people believed government forecasts - I didn’t). I did see/hear people say that there might be an improvement in salaries of low paid/ low skilled (due to reduced supply of labour), which hope will be the case.

Steve, a big selling point of Brexit was that things like the above wouldn't happen. Nobody here or in fact anywhere is revelling in people losing their jobs

Brexit nor EU membership is enough to save a failing business.
£100 million over 10 years is a lot of money. Even if Brexit was a catalyst, those losses are clearly not sustainable.
It was at the time. Not surprised you feel the need to bring it up again though.Im amazed “the Brexit deal is positive for Nissan” hasn’t been mentioned
Brexit: Nissan commits to keep making cars in Sunderland
The Japanese car maker has told the BBC its Sunderland plant is secure for the long term.www.google.co.uk
You're missing my point. The soundbites were made so that many took their own meaning from it and thought it applied to them, including job security.

Sums it up when you can find one article from months ago to back up your viewpoint.
Brexit is a fucking disaster. You have to be a complete idiot and/or too embarrassed to admit you were wrong to claim otherwise.
So you judge a huge change in months even though it will be judged in generations
Makes sense
That's a convenient excuse.
People didn't vote for something that won't show any benefits until long after they're dead ffs.
How is it an excuse - what benefits in the first few months were promised?
Can you show me a link?
It was said there would be no downsides, only considerable upsides.
It's been the total opposite so far.
As I said, there is no way people would vote for something that would be harmful in their lifetimes and only show benefit long after they're dead.
So which category are you, total idiot or too embarrassed to admit you got it wrong? Both?
So.
It’s not about the NHS
It’s not about fishing
It’s not about farming
It’s not about jobs
What was it about again?
40 free trade deals seconds after Brexit happens according to one of the charlatans. We haven’t signed one yet and the only one we’re looking at signing is going to screw over one of the industries that definitely, absolutely was going to be a Brexit winner. How is it an excuse - what benefits in the first few months were promised?
Can you show me a link?
So what timeline were these considerable upsides - link please
I’ve not been negatively impacted personally by Brexit anyway. In what way has it impacted you personally?
50 years before we see the benefits said another of the charlatans. It's an excuse because for as long as Brexit is a shit show you can say 'it's OK it'll be great in 100 years', thus sticking your head in the sand with a pathetic excuse.

Even then he’s lying to himself. He’s lost rights such as how long he can visit European countries. Free healthcare when visiting EU countries. The automatic right to be an expat in the EU.Typical fucking Tory
I'm alright Jack

Funny that. He did promise shoes on feet though so every cloud. That was JRM. But he conveniently didn't mention it until after the vote.
have working class people in the north shown Their anger against Brexit?
I think we need to rename this thread to something more appropriate. Leaving this here if anyone needs it:
Samaritans - Here to listen

Depends on what they do for a living. Fishermen ain’t too pleased.have working class people in the north shown Their anger against Brexit?
They will do in a few years when reality hits. When fishing and farming are decimated. When it turns out Brexit doesn't mean less foreigners in their towns.
Is that for the working class Brexiters?
Very kind of you to post it!
