Isn’t Labours official policy remain in the single market leave the EU? I.e. not a hard brexit? They’re united on no hard brexit, which is what the government is trying to deliver. Lib Dem’s are anti brexit in any form as so is SNP. Just how many Tory MP’s would have to rebel to scupper a hard brexit? You could be down to a small handful assuming that they can keep the DUP on board and gain their votes. If they don’t hard brexit is over.

A wise opposition would keep their powder dry fr the moment, see what else unravels, and then strike...

As it stands now, not convinced the will of the people would appreciate a drastic shift in policy... but they might in six months time!

So, 'regulatory alignment'...............that's what its all about..............I'm not too sure what it actually all would mean ?! I'm guessing things would stay the same..............but then I'm guessing that will still be as was post Brexit.

Some people are beginning to feel a bit queasy at what is going on. Farage says that it is only those on 1m GBP a year in Canary Wharf and the the „ordinary people“ want the government to get on with it. The more this turns into a mess, the more people wil start feeling queasy whether they are in Canary Wharf or Chatham.

And didn't I just get asked yet again if why I am a Labour voter and union member why don't I have a go at May more and why am I not happy having Corbyn as leader of Labour?

I have given my reasons about Corbyn. I didn't notice and disagreement. I never say anything good about May. And I also point out the negatives about her. Yet my party allegiance still gets questioned.

So does anyone think that Corbyn is the best Labour has to offer?

Sorry but its not just down to cuts in police is it, its down to a criminal uplift and mentality, pathetic sentencing and soft prisons ! I would have these wankers breaking rocks for the new HS2 project and working down the mines. The rights of prisoners make me sick, more EU human rights piffle no doubt !

It's down to numbers. With out going into details I recently found out how many police are at times covering the whole of Coventry and what their workload is, it's frightening. That's down to cuts.

What part of the Human rights act to you disagree with? I agree with all of it and expect a life that affords me all of the tenants in it.

Police numbers and efficiency are an issue for sure..............try having a look at average sickness rates as well, quite disgusting !!
I believe that prisoners should forfeit many of their rights and freedoms, some of those are protected by general human rights laws.

martcov - why are you pushing the line that Brexit has gone pear shaped? Nothing has really happened yet, the parties are just going through a very public and politicised negotiation. This isn't a sign of anything going pear shaped, it is good that (at least on the UK side) that some compromise is being shown. I am yet to see any compromise on the part of the EU which gives me confidence that voting leave was the correct decision.

That doesn't make the human rights act piffle, it just means you believe it shouldn't be afforded to certain people, not sure I agree but I still think it's a good piece of legislation. Like all goods things, it will sometime get abused.

Yet even Farage was advocating that we should go for the Norway option? Also the leave lot claiming no one was talking about leaving the single market?

That's rubbish, and a deliberate attempt to try and make it look like leaving the EU will make no difference to stopping an influx of these trouble makers from third world countries.

If you look at the pressure and sanctions put on Poland and Hungary for refusing to accept them, it is a clear indication that the EU does have a large hand in this. They have been giving out quotas ffs.

One of the biggest and most genuine reasons why people have wanted to leave the EU and dis-attach from Germany etc, is due to this problem. By trying to cover it up and brand it not relevant it is a pathetic attempt at trying to make your argument on remain. People have made their own decisions and thankfully have not listened to you on this subject.

Moan all you like. I was right. The question on the ballot paper asked me to make a choice I think was right. Now I know I’m thick and should be ashamed (oh the irony) but it’s the choice I made.
