Again try reading the JLR statement in full that I have already linked. It covers ALL the reasons for the job losses. Maybe you think JLR are lying.
I’m sure it is but the point is it does have something to do with Brexit as confirmed by the JLR statement and not nothing to do with Brexit as someone on here who claims to be someone important at JLR claims. I did hear on the news last night that any JLR employee who is below the pay grade of those who have the knowledge and understanding to be part of the statement will have the situation explained to them Monday so maybe Grendull will know more then. Luckily for him I’ve already given him the heads up so he might be able to understand it a little on Monday.
I love it when you attempt patronising Tony. It’s like Hale and Pace mocking Morecombe and Wise.
The problem is you are not very good at it. I’ve shared my views with those mature enough to absorb the information.
What’s this obsession with diesels engines? I didn’t even think they were that bad. With today’s technology and the collective pollution of planes and boats and horrendous factories everywhere cars seem a minor issue compared.
Is it just to tax them more for more money and to make us think they care?
Again try reading the JLR statement in full that I have already linked. It covers ALL the reasons for the job losses. Maybe you think JLR are lying.
I work for jlr and think the Brexit comment is a bit of a cheap shot by management to put pressure on the government over a trade deal with the eu.
Theres two big issues that have caused these job losses.
1. Diesel as already debated
2. Castle Brom plant is producing saloons which no one wants. JLR have permanent employees with no work whilst they have agency at Solihull producing the disco, f pace, Range Rover which are still selling. Halewood has the high volume evoque and disco sport.
Castle broms future is in serious doubt especially with the new cheaper cost Slovakia plant nearly on line, contract manufacturers in Austria & joint ventures in China.
The blame for this sits with our governments handling on diesel, the eu for subsidising new manufacturing sites in Eastern Europe and JLR management for leaving castle brom with dying model types.
As usual the workers suffer
So what Brexit reason was given?Again try reading the JLR statement in full that I have already linked. It covers ALL the reasons for the job losses. Maybe you think JLR are lying.
So what Brexit reason was given?
The word Brexit was used. But the truth is it is all about a crash in diesel car sales. So yet again what is the Brexit problem you keep mentioning? You’ve denied what your employer has said (or unaware as its above your pay grade) even when a link has been provided and the direct quote has been copied and pasted for your benefit. You’ve done the equivalent of the flat earth society bragging that they have members all around the globe.
I haven’t patronised astute. I’ve just pointed out what he’s repeatedly missed. Maybe when you have the maturity to understand what patronising means you’ll understand that. Still not being patronising because you regularly fail to understand what the big words you use mean while trying to look intelligent.
We all know that. Tony also knows it. It is all in black and white. Mart has said what the problem is. And he lives in Germany where it is becoming a problem. And the link I put up backs up what he says. There wasn’t. The uncertainty was classed as a headwind
We all know that. Tony also knows it. It is all in black and white. Mart has said what the problem is. And he lives in Germany where it is becoming a problem. And the link I put up backs up what he says.
But Tony tries to say it is Brexit. Not a surprise in the slightest.
As it says in their statement and I’ve said already. It surrounds tariffs and the uncertainty that could have on their bottom line. It’s all in their statement. If you read it you won’t have to keep asking me, you’ll have it direct from the horses mouth. So what Brexit reason was given?

Surely you would write it of the headline alone. According to you there aren’t any JLR job losses.
You don't have selective reading? You really don’t read anything do you. I’ve said brexit has something to do with it to someone who says it has nothing to do with it. Again why don’t you read the link I’ve provided to the statement. I accept the statement in its entirety and haven’t said anything different. It’s you who is having trouble with selective reading not me.
BTW who was it written by?New UKIP leader announces plans to quit
UKIP‘s latest leader. Gerard Batten.
I found this old blog describing him:
Gerard - BATTEN MEP: UKIP MEP Gerard Batten is a laughing stock
The writer stood for election as UKIP candidate and then saw their lies and corruption. He is still a leave fanatic, but has nothing more to with UKIP.

What name? So who wrote it?The name is there and the pseudonym..... ( my leaver brother )

UKIP was a good thing to happen. It took many of the votes away from the BNP. Even people that have come here to live voted UKIP. But once the BNP were taken off the political radar of course some of them went to UKIP. Now there is no need for UKIP.
What you have posted was their new leader who said he will only do it for a year. Then somebody having a rant like they do on here.

Who cares?
I’ve read it and here’s where we’re at.Read the article and also the other guy whose posted on here - educate yourself
I’ve read it and here’s where we’re at.
You say there are no job losses and to provide a link to an article that says that there are job losses.
On top of that you claim it has nothing to do with Brexit seemingly unaware that your employees have released a statement that says it has something to do with Brexit.
You seem very lost on this and completely out the loop. I’m going to call BS on your self proclaimed importance at JLR.
Who is it then? For all I know it is you. But you say you know who it is....Only difference being that the rant from someone in the know who had worked for them in Brussels. Just showing the character of UKIP who hopefully will vanish back to being a small right wing party as BNP was.
I don’t like any of them.
Are you saying that UKIP is as bad as the BNP?They'll probably reinvent themselves as some kind of anti-Islam party in the long-term. Did the BNP ever get a significant number of votes? I'd have thought that most of those going to UKIP would have been Tory voters.
Not sure Farage's dog whistle racist politics should ever be described as a good thing.
How is it that you can read something and read something totally different than everyone else?I’ve read it and here’s where we’re at.

I would say so, presumably you don't.
“islam is a cancer that needs eradicating multiculturism does not work in this country clear them all off to the desert with their camals that’s their way of life.”
“I visiting the city of Birmingham recently and felt like a foreigner in the city of my birth, all around me I could hear the sound of jabbering in an alien voice … we also have the Pakistani’ and the Somali’s. Tell me Mr Cameron Why? the men wear their Pyjamas.”
No Tony I said there were no job losses to JLR employees which is a correct statement.
The article I posted - which bizarrely even your Euro chum liked - was a sensible and accurate article. Most other posters - employees and not - who have actually commented on this are pretty much all in agreement.
The statement didn’t blame Brexit which I and others have repeatedly pointed out and one poster offered a very reasoned argument about that.
It seems you are last man standing Tony on this one.
