But Mart constantly takes this small minority and makes a big deal out of it.

I say his only influence is the EU because it gives him a stage. He doesn't have one in the UK. The part I saw yesterday had many in the EU agree with him. Even I had to laugh when Juncker and others thought he was praising him until the punchline came.

Don't read the Express and don't have a clue about the radio station.

Sounds like you follow him more than anyone I know.

So do I. Especially these days. And Farage would be a distant memory for me most of the time if he wasn't mentioned every day on here. It is a gift for him.

As I said, apart from in the mainstream press and his radio show. A Times' columnist recently claimed he should be PM.

I doubt some blowhards on a football forum are responsible for his publicity.

Ed balls and Michael Portollo do a lot of media work - it’s not a sign they are entering politics again.

A no-deal Brexit poses a major risk to public safety, with police officers instantly losing vital access to cross-border investigative powers and databases, the home secretary has been warned in a damning letter from the national body of police and crime commissioners.

Not all bad news though. We'll have blue passports. Every cloud.

Mainstream press and radio show? Never heard of his radio show before. What station is it on?

We are responsible for his publicly? So where did I say that? As usual changing completely everything I say.

So where are you taking the no deal news from? Must be someone you don't believe a word they say. Because it is only extreme leavers that are saying so.

Or are you calling Barnier a liar and say he will ignore what just about everyone in the EU wants?

You don't suppose he is sensationalising it somewhat? Maybe a justification for his requesting additional funding at some near future point perhaps?
The politicians may not agree sharing...but the unofficial lines of communication &/or alert will likely not be affected by any Brexit negotiated (or no-deal) outcomes. There is too much mutual benefit in tipping each other off at every level of such operations.

Love that Brexiter argument, third time ive heard it today.

“Of course no deal wont be a disaster, the status quo is so beneficial to everyone they wont want to change it”

So why the fuck are we leaving again?

Part of me cant wait for the probability waves to collapse just out of curioisty of how Leavers will spin on a dime so argue whatever happens was great anyway.

Yawn...'could'.

OR they may be quietly working on a deal elsewhere profiting them £30m instead. Surely by now you accept that there is fear, sensationalism & reality at work at all times in varying measures? It is hard to swallow ANY of these type of stories. The only ones we can go on are the 'we have lost/won a deal'

That makes absolutely no sense in the world of manufacturing. How do bombardier keep the production lines running without components? They can’t take comfort from your words of “wisdom” that it will be alright on the night, maybe They have to plan ahead, they have orders to fulfill many of which will include late penalties, they have staff to keep working.

1. "They need us more than we need them."
2. "It should be the easiest deal in human history."
3. "No deal is better than a bad deal."

Read or watch. You really won’t have to visit too many news sites to find the story. It’s on the front page of the BBC News site for instance, many papers are going with it too. Given it’s holiday season and holiday makers are going to be hit. You’re asking for a link for something that is very much in the public domain and you’d have to go out of your way to miss if you had any interest at all in current affairs.

Yes...there are winners & losers whatever happens. Some of the key words/bits to look for in that specific report, which appear strategically placed & hence leap out at me are things like 'if' & 'fears'...that is my choice of focus. Yours is to focus on something different. They have potentially been sourcing additional or alternative suppliers already that IF push comes to shove they can use...that is what I meant by economical. I have no doubt some of these fabulously paid individuals are understandably worried about their lot in life. I & millions of others are about theirs too. Vast majority of them won't give a kipper's cock about Brexit because it will at best vaguely impact their circumstance

Barnier was saying that Ireland must be sorted before there was a trade deal. The other 27 countries are not saying that the Ireland problem must be sorted before a trade deal.

How about keeping to the truth?

I will explain to you yet again although I am certain that you are not thick.

Ireland can't be sorted easily at all until we know what sort of trade deal there is going to be. If we have a free trade agreement most of the problems are sorted. Goods can move freely. If tariffs are imposed then there is a lot of sorting out to do. Barnier and Juncker knew it was nearly impossible to solve Ireland before even starting talks on a trade deal. Anybody with 2 working brain cells knows this. It was just one of the attempts made to force us to stay in the EU. A nd you know this.

Barnier and Juncker have made it nearly impossible to put a plan together. They set no boundaries but just kept saying no to everything. Another attempt at forcing us to stay in the EU.

And back to you. You say that you cannot have a trade deal without first explaining how you are going to enforce it. But answer one thing. How can you plan to enforce something that you know nothing about?

Ireland: The problem being alignment of regulations if we don’t want to be in the CU or SM or accept decisions of the ECJ. We are tariff free already, but what if we import from other countries which must pay EU tariffs and reexport to the EU via ROI? What if our trade deals have different/ lower standards than the EU? Then people would smuggle some of our imports into the EU via ROI.

Enforcement: Which is why you have to know whether we are in the CU and SM, and if we aren’t, how do we propose controlling the border whilst at the same time not breaking the GFA? Then we can discuss further.

Under WTO you are expected to control your borders.

Yes, we are well into blame the EU. We had 2 years to put a workable offer on the table. We now have the white paper as a starting point. But it is Barnier‘s intransigence that was the problem.

Hague is comparing Macron to De Gaulle. France is now the main obstacle apparently. Why? Because he is sticking with the rest of the 27. Hague says in the times of a growing China and unreliable USA, we need each other more than ever. Begs the question „why are we leaving then?“

The winners seem to be the likes of hedge funds who have mates in high places who with a single sentence can effect things like the value of sterling and them people just happen to have bet in the right directions.

The loser tends to be the man in the street who’s company can’t function because of uncertainty meaning wage freezes, cuts in overtime, scaling back of investment, cash flows being punished in preparation of what might come ect ect.

Still. Ferage, Rees Mogg etc and there hedge fund cronies will be alright so that’s OK.

They have just started to follow the mandate.

Or are you telling me that the other 27 countries decided that we had to sort out the problem of Ireland and other things before we could even start considering a trade deal when a trade deal first would have solved most of the problems of Ireland was wanted by the other 27 countries?

And you still refuse to even consider that the so called negotiating from the EU took this route to try and make us stay in the EU. It was just a refusal of everything put forward. Then threats that all flights would be stopped.

It has been nothing but threats and scare tactics. But the worry from the other 27 countries has finally stopped project fear. Reality has hit home. Barnier can't pretend any more that the other 27 countries want what he has been saying.

Yes those who like us who actually contribute to EU funds will still try to make us stay in the EU. Because us leaving will cost them billions of pounds extra each year. But the majority have spoken out loud.

So Barnier now talking about a deal, saying the wording of what he has been saying will be changed and also saying that there can be future negotiations on changes is not Barnier changing what he has said previously?

Which is why May has been going round the heads of government to cut Barnier out.
It also highlights another deep problem in the EU, Barnier isn't elected, he has no real power, even Junker is a compromise candidate.
There is no real democracy in the EU its all a big fudge to allow the Chancellor & Le President to impose their will.

I will reply anyway. Barnier is an appointed negotiator. He doesn’t have to be elected. All 27 heads of government and all MEPs are elected. Juncker was elected by the Council and confirmed by the MEPs.

Oli Robbins, the one negotiating on our behalf on May‘s instructions wasn’t elected.

May has been going round the heads of government, but we know of no major success. Hague has blamed Macron accusing him of being stubborn. Barnier has written an open letter explaining that he represents the 27 and that they have all agreed to his line. No one has denied this.

Is it really a surprise that May is rallying support from other leaders within the EU? Isn’t part of the apparent problem with the EU that you have to get all members to agree? That’s when it’s not a dictatorship run by Junker or Barnier or the French or the Germans (delete as necessary depending on the leave argument for the day).
