But meanwhile...the UK can demand thst certain trials are carried out under UK stipulations...otherwise they don't get licenced for use here. Now thst I would agree could be a double-edged sword! By that I mean EMA sympathies toward certain EU companies will become a thing of the past. However we (as patients) will still suffer from either missing out on good drugs for longer than necessary or, we suffer from sympathies shown to UK based Pharma firms.

Well. For starters it was Ford that borrowed the money not Turkey. How does Turkey have the rights to negotiate cancelling and nullifying Fords debts exactly? Turkey isn’t a member of the EU so therefore are not a shareholder in the EIB . Again, how does Turkey have the right to cancel or nullify debt owed to the EIB from an American corporation such as Ford? Or if you’re Grendull “a wonga type customer” who would have guessed has Grendull worked for a wonga type.
You have seen how volatile the Turkish currency is? You do know that Ford in Turkey is 1/2 owned by a Turkish company?

Kinda answering your own questions with that line as to why the money shouldn't have been loaned...& THAT ought to be one of - if not the foremost criteria that should be met before any consideration a country to join the EU.
