Apparently the Mail is on about one of the judges being gay. What has that got to do with anything? Does that give May the right to bypass parliament? So the government are going to appeal this to the supreme court. If that fails will it be of to the European courts? The irony if they did. Presumably if they did and the UK courts decision is overturned by the European courts the brexit camp won't recognise the decision?

I'm sure various campaigners can give you a lot more examples of where the courts rolled over and played dead for the government but on this one issue it appears they decided to make a stand against them.

A lot of their policies I agree with, but 2nd referendum & remaining really I don't in spades. Does anybody else find the same thing with political parties, even with the party that is closest to your point of view you can only get onside with 60-70% of their policies? In my view party politics is broken, we need to break it down somehow to allow the policy set approved by the majority to prevail. How we can do this I'm not clear, especially as I've had a beer or 2 this afternoonbut I am sure modern technology and analysis techniques allow us to improve upon today's means of selecting the government.
