Now we have the BP criticising Johnson and claiming they are the only party who would deliver a ‘proper Brexit’, which now appears to be No Deal.

This is despite its leader being happy with the Norway approach pre-referendum.

It’s all propaganda. Claim only No Deal is true Brexit, knowing it can’t be delivered. Then whatever happens next isn’t because Brexit was a fucking stupid idea, but because it wasn’t done right.

And of course the Farage ball polishers are eating it up and doing their job like good little proles.

It should be becoming obvious to everyone that Farage is in this for the long haul and his only aim is to make money. I wondered for a while if he had any convictions whatsoever and what life experience they might be derived from but he is a hypocrite without morales who will say and do anything to get paid. A professional protest politician.

The whole grift relies on an unwinnable cause. I bet he was gutted when Leave won.

A few of his mates wasn’t. Some did very well when the pound crashed. IIRC there was a dispatches special regarding it and one of them was caught on tape laughing and joking at the prospect of a hard brexit salivating for another windfall on the misery.

Yeah because Jezza is famous for his money making schemes in parliament. Especially on those expenses....

Well no he prefers to get paid on the side by the Iranian TV network

Corbyns motivations are easy: he lucked the hard left into leadership and like every political leader ever he ain’t letting go easily.

Yet again deflecting away from the actual point that was being made and away from those responsible.

Ironic given every time Corbyn and the IRA is mentioned you swivel to an obscure Brexit MEP

You only have to spend 2 minutes looking through social media at the FBPE crew especially to see people like this. Even some of the most ardent remain politicians have failed to talk about how we would pursue reform should we stay - the conversation ends at Revoke Article 50.

If these politicians want to demonstrate that remaining part of the EU is the right course of action, then they should at least demonstrate that they have reflected over the last 3 years as to why Leave won in the first place.

I have reflected. It seems to me most people didn’t know much at all about the EU. Some get the courts muddled up and the ECHR is the EU. Others think th EU caused the austerity program of the UK government. Others think there will be a EU army and that we will be forced to have the Euro very shortly. Others are scared of a flood of immigrants because the Mail and EXpress suggested that there would be

No one thought about NI.

First thing to be done: educate people, starting in the school. Second: team people motivated to vote. Then try and get better candidates. Not just gravy trainers like Farage.

To get the EU reformed you need public support and capable politicians.

Because the EU said nothing would change at the start so not to hit those still in the EU hard. Or are you calling Barnier a liar?

The Eu said that things would continue so as to avoid disruption, but that it would not be comparable to the transition period of 2 years if we had acdeal. Priti Patel says FOM will end on 01. November. Expect some form of tit for tat.

So there is no public support on reform in the EU? Added to public support is every leader of every country in the EU wants reform. So why can't it happen?

Because those who hold all the power are the ones who would have to give up their power. But they prefer to promote others who will carry on as usual. And they are even prepared to break their own laws, rules and regulations to keep it this way. And when caught out doing so they ignore all calls for justice.

Shock horror, people with power taking care of their own interests. It goes on it everywhere across the world, it’s not like the UK is perfect either and there’s abuse of power as well.

Had to laugh when de Pfeffel Johnson said that our European friends were being a little negative...obviously they haven’t discovered this magical power of positive thinking.

So why will things crash and burn November 1st? Why will all the worse case scenarios happen straight away?

They won't. And I will say yet again. I expect a deal to be made in this 2 year period.

Well with the likes of Patel in charge and her plans to end FoM immediately, it’s not exactly going to help, is it? Her plans would make it impossible for things to not change and it would be completely impossible to have anything like the transitional period in place with what she wants to happen.

If i were you I’d be raging at her plans as the EU would inevitably replicate what the Uk does in retaliation, which will directly impact you.

They will have to send you the ingredients when they find them.

I wish I could look at this whole thing as an innocent bystander. It would then be interesting as it unfolds. But I have to consider my family in France. Looks like a good move so far. Kids now have schools to go to. But we had to make a decision. My little girl is 10 and 11 in September. She is a year ahead in France so would have to go to high school. 1,400 kids. Would scare the shite out of her. So she is going private like about half the schools in France. Only 120 kids. My little boy will also be going private or would have to travel miles. That was sorted yesterday. The wife is already on with sorting out her right to stay. And her french is now great to where it was. They will all be totally fluent within 6 months.

I'd be pretty sure he'd give way to a more media friendly left leaning alternative if one came along.

Why would it directly impact me? We have said everyone already here can stay. So I need the EU to rule the same.

It is a waste of time raging over everything. There is nothing either of us can do to maje a difference. If there was I would be the same as you and only putting across one side. But as it is supposed to be a debate I try to look at both sides and point out the inaccuracies.

Yes it is shit. The problem we have is those who don't 'know' what is best. Without them we would have a majority.

Glad it’s going well for them, I imagine they’re enjoying the summer. I was back in England over the weekend the weather was a bit of a shock.

As for the magical positive thinking, I prefer to take responsibility for myself and live in the real world, thanks ;)

Wife not enjoyed it all the time. Had a couple of weeks with weather 41 degrees and more.

She has been helped by meeting a woman who can't speak English. Now they talk in French as long as it is slower. I used to think my French was decent but I can only understand half of what the wife says.

I am in the real world. I just wish the politicians could join me.

Your family would be fine but it would inevitably cause problems for yourself when trying to move over permanently.

As far as I know it’s going to be up to individual countries to decide how to handle it.

I’m talking about if Patel went through with her threats, personally I think the government will back down.

The right to family life will mean I can join my family. I am 55 in 3 years, 7 months and 3 weeks. That is when I retire and join them. We will be OK as we won't be on any kind of French benefits. That would create a problem. And our youngest two will be 13 and 14 so we will have more freedom to enjoy it. Can't wait to get out of the UK rat race.
