Temptation, and giving in to it. The Wife has recently been to the doctors and had her blood pressure taken and it's high. They told her to buy a machine and take figures every day and go back in a couple of weeks.

I knew I shouldn't have had a go, but I did anyway and if it's anywhere near accurate my heart is going to explode at any minute... and I had been having a much less stressful day than normal too!

Hotel price quotes. XYZ per night.

I am not paying for it on a daily basis, I want an overall price.

Most of the websites don´t have a filter or settings change for this. Does my head in.

and the ones that give you a price per person when you're booking a room for 2. you don't notice and go to pay and suddenly the price doubles.

Make sure you are taking it correctly - don’t talk , rest your arm , don’t do it straight after activity - keep a record for a week and do it twice with 5 mins between- it is important

Just get the Wife to give your manual relief valve a good rubbing. If you can survive that then the pressure should reduce.

I don’t know if that’s better or worse?
Hope you get fixed up soon…and yeah, keep popping those meds (I’m assuming this is what you meant)!

No offence, but have you been living in a hole in the ground for 20 years? This came into common usage when "Friends" was popular (for some unfathomable reason) on telly in the 90s/00s!

But it pisses me off too - the correct greeting is "Good morning" or "How do you do?" :)

It also gets my goat that the standard response to "How are you?" these days is "I'm good", instead of very well, fine, just dandy, etc.

Really grates with the wife when people use "Alright". Of course, knowing that I use it all of the time.

" Not so bad" is a very common answer, as if we've all had the plague and are just recovering !

Saw a stand-up routine by Bill Bailey recently regarding the use of the term "Not too bad, all things considered" and he wondered if they truly HAD considered all things! "The baffling longevity of LinkedIn" PMSL
Found a link to it. Hilarious in my view!

Friends definitely led to the ubiquity of people saying "guys" and the even more excruciating "you guys", probably "oh my god" and its initialism "omg". Horrid show.

If you're in Cov the only answer is "sound mate"

"Oh my days" is terrible. It's for people who think "Oh my God " is somehow a bit offensive / rude. Man up for Christ's sake.

Yanks who say " For Christ sakes" is bloody annoying.

I used to see an American girl who’d say “jeez Louise”. Needless to say once the physical attraction went that it was it.
