imagine the misfortune of sitting next to Him at a
match. Life surely couldn't be worse, Astute must be one of those Mother Theresa types.

All my weekends until December are taken up with work. Will sort something out for then. Not bothered about distance. Unless we go on a supporters coach so I can have a good drink or one of you are not a drinker and would like to drive.

Do we have a taker for driver for the day? Free match ticket and soft drinks to a volunteer. She may be big but drives like a car.

Coach Port Vale 13 December or train Walsall 3 January

It's like a playground on here sometimes. Saying that i'm sure we'd all actually get along if we met up in real life...or maybe not! ;)

I thought the opening line was the weakest in my post

It might just have been a mirror of the Wasps rhetoric however.

Same language, different reaction to it from some.

It sounds, to me... remarkably like the language SISU have and do use to justify their very being wrt the football club. If I were a Wasps fan or, indeed, if I'd just sold my stadium management company to them, I'd be rather concerned...

You need to keep this post somewhere safe NW, then you can bump it at some future date... ;)

maybe. I think the main difference is they have walked straight in and bought 50% of ACL, and bid for the other 50%. If only SISU had done that....

The alternative perspective is that a club justifies an unjustifiable action by virtue of it 'saving' the club.

Never true, of course. If Wasps can't sustain a top flight club in London, then they can sink to the levels of Richmond, Rosslyn Park... Coventry...

The club didn't have to move or die.

Maybe, maybe.

Here's the original btw.

Bet I get a load of 'ah but it's different' now ;)

Did you see the poll on that page?

Ah yes, newspaper vox pops. Once Geoffrey Robinson had a 75% rating as our preferred next owner.

It might have been a slow day at work that day ;)
