I disagree, my alternative is that we ask why CCFc can't purchase the Higgs Share of ACL and ask the Council how much they'd want for their share of ACL, so for instance:

- £6,000,000 for the Higgs Share of ACL
- £6,000,000 - £10,000,000 Council share of ACL
- Club take over the loan that ACL are repaying to CCC with an added 5% - 10% extra on each repayment annually.

Job sorted for initial outlet of £12,000,000* the Club have 100% control of ACL.

* The same amount as another 4 season at Sixfields.

You are missing the point. Sisu want out of Football, they cannot achieve this without the freehold of the Ricoh.
Only if they get that can they make a huge profit for their shareholders, That is their only interest.

C J Parker by any chance?

Whatever happened to Parker he used to post on here quite a lot and although me and CJ Parker rarely agreed on anything he did come across well.

That's fine with me as its fans like you that have led the club to where they are. You care about the council and its precious management company than you ever would about the club.

You even said you wouldnt care if the club were relegated.

You're a fucking disgrace.

Yep, a right wing conservative capitalist like myself couldn't wait to throw my weight behind a left wing socialist labour council.

All those years growing up, attending games all over the country, in all weather, all I thought about during those games was how wonderful it would be for the club to go down the shitter.

I can see why you like sisu so much though. Your debating styles are very similar.

So you think I'm a disgrace?

Well I think you are a traitor to your city and its people.

I hate the club after all I've missed 2 games this season one away and one at sixfields, missed 7 games 2010/11 due to being in hospital, didnt miss a home game for 45 years before that. Remind me how many games have you been to this season.

As Ron said a few posts back and something I agree with, there is no incentive to purchase he Freehold, what the Club should do is as I quoted is purchase the two 50% shares of ACL.

The owners are in this for the long haul don't be mistaken about that.

Exactly. It would be the best way for Sisu to achieve their goals by purchasing the shares of ACL, which is why I have a feeling that they're playing the JR card and weaken ACL down, I'd rather they come out purchased the Higgs share and then purchase the Council share, the question is if Sisu purchased the Higgs Share of ACL would CCC be willing to sell their 50% share? Something tells me they wouldn't.

Well I personally think that sisu should have bought the Higgs share, which would have put them in a position to get a great rent deal.

Then after a year or so, once they have proven to be competent owners of the Ricoh and a year of cooperation with CCC, the council might be more willing to sell.

As it is at the minute I wouldn't trust sisu to run a bath, let alone the Ricoh.

They need to prove their worthiness.

If there is anybody out there with enough money to buy a Football Club, can you give one reason why he would
chose CCFC over any number of Clubs who actually have some assets.

What do Coventry have to offer,A squad with a possible worth of 2m (that's being generous)-no ground,
very little support at present and an asking price of very many millions to cover sisu's investors ever increasing
losses.I believe Robinson sold out for £1 plus the debt to the Inland Revenue. That's about the current value.

This is the problem at hand, Why would anyone buy CCFC? There isn't a que of folk lining up with X million pounds in his pocket.

I said something similar three weeks ago, I even sent a letter to CCFC and never got a response. Typical eh?

I note you've mentioned nothing about the freehold in that sentence.

Joy will let Timmy have a free hold of 'em, if he gets the Ricoh for nowt -

I know you get a lot of shit on here and some of it is deserved if I'm honest, but then I get the feeling you quite enjoy it. You quite clearly hate the council and that is your right to do so, but I do not think that it is the original rent and admin is where your hatred is born out of. To be honest I don't really care. However, the way you imply or sometimes say that we should all hate CCC for the actions they have taken is quite frankly absurd. We live in a big city where lots of people support CCFC but have far more pressing and important things in their lives such as families etc. Some of these families have benefited greatly from the superb work that some of the city council services have offered and this is something you cannot deny. Yes we see tragic cases where lessons can be learnt but we don not see the day to day truly great job some in the council umbrella do. Where lives are saved, enriched and in some cases just some help is invaluable to the people that benefit. To some people, there are more important things than CCFC but all you seem to see is the club and nothing else. I know this seems off topic and apologies for that but your constant vile abuse towards an organisation that although not perfect, does do a good and valuable job to the citizens of Coventry baffles me. Yes CCFC is important to me, but there are other things in life far more valuable. Before you have a go at me for being Pro CCC, I am just pro anything that helps out people I know and care about.

Good post.

My feelings are CCC's intentions are always for the betterment of the Coventry. Yes the council have done some very stupid things over the years (regarding the football club and just in general), but all that was mainly through incompetence. The intention behind every CCC policy is to make this city better and to improve our lives. I'm not saying that the council is above criticism or scrutiny, but that I find it difficult to hate someone/something that has my home's best interest at heart.

Sisu on the other hand would happily see this city and our football club sink into a giant sinkhole if they thought there was a few quid in it for them. They only care about themselves and do not have Coventry's best interest at heart.

Jesus, are you vain if you wear contacts? That is close to the silliest thing I have ever read.

I'd be lost without mine!

Here's a question, obviously there's no right answer as it's all opinions but as some on here place the majority of the blame on ACL for applying for administration (although not actually being the ones to put us into admin) what do you think would have happened if ACL hadn't done that?

At that point SISU hadn't paid the rent for a year and a court had ruled that they had no valid cause to withhold the rent and had to pay it. There would be a lease in place with decades to run.

What move would SISU have made next?

Are you asking me or Jesus?

and what is wrong with glasses especially if you cannot see properly with contacts.

so no it is you who are being silly

Because you tried to say somebody was vain because they wear contacts? :claping hands:

Youve missed the point. When your mates at ACL were destroying the club first time round if sisu hadn't purchased the club then the lease would have been broken anyway.

Hey thinking about it if ACL hadn't been so greedy in the first place we'd never have heard of sisu. How do you feel now?
If SISU build a new ground for £30m how much interest are they going to charge CCFC. Just use a percentage

I think that is why Sisu wanted to purchase the Freehold because it skips dealing with ACL to a certain extent. Well the best way to deal with it would be to put mediators in, although this seems to simple.

With respect to the Debt I am not sure it will be quite that figure, Sisu have said they'd covert some of the existing debt into equity and use that to build the new Stadium along with a loan from a lender. Of course this is yet to be seen, but this was what Fisher stated way back at the Forums at the end of last season. Admittedly the appeal of attendances doesn't look great but if they did build their own Stadium it would at least be a business model of which the Club could grow from.
"Along with a loan from a lender" what lender is going to give them money to build a WHITE ELEPHANT. No time is running out for SISU and they are now holding on for the court case.

You've never once commented about a football related thread so that's hysterical.

Ill meet you outside Sixfields on Sunday if you like - I'm serious. Where would you like to meet?

Can you confirm this isn't a "threat"? It can read a bit dodgy.

Dear me Grendel remember when someone else asked to meet someone outside a stadium:thinking about:but that was to protest,I do hope your request is not a threat;)

No it's not a threat. He accuses me if not being a fan. In pretty certain he will not want to go in so I will meet him outside and he can see I am a fan. Its actually pathetic to suggest otherwise - I clearly am.

If you read back my original post I accept it could be misconstrued.
