To be fair it sounds like it is going to be a phone call from 1 person who can't make a decision to another. So realistically it should mean nothing to anyone. But if it gets the ball rolling what does it matter?

You said you were going to discuss. Which should suggest you are interested. If so meet them and it maybe beneficial.
It you think it is bull arrange to meet them and show them up for what they are.

Puts it to bed once and for all.

One reason you may not want to, is because if it is a good offer that saves you money. That ACL have agreed to. Then why wouldn't you take it. Unless you don't intend to build a new stadium......

Yes, I would want to filter out whether it was serious or not. If I judged it was serious then I would go and meet them. I wouldn't need to show them up for what they are, they are the ones coming with a proposal to me and refusing to answer calls and the middle man's middle man passes me onto a middler man.

Have ACL agreed to it?

First off I cant fault KCIC for at least trying something.

Question

It has never made short term financial sense for the Club to stay at Sixfields, but the move has never been about the needs of the club. So by offering the club a short rent way back to the Ricoh (that was available to SISU all along if they wanted to ask) how does that change what SISU are trying to do or need?

It is not about the club, it never has been, CCFC is a means to an end....... that end is a capital return for SISU investors

Maybe there isn't an end OSB. Thing is there is no means to an end is there. That's the problem. No new stadium is a certainty and Ricoh want sisu gone like the plague so no hope for sisu really. I don't know why they stick around. I hear well they want a return on their investment but not every investment in life works and when it's ccfc it definitely doesn't so why carry on? They wouldn't have another football club to run so where's the interest.

So actually it's makes perfect sense why sisu would want back.

Also I will say about investments the smart man knows when to walk and cut his losses. Else you are no better mug than a gambler who chases his losses more and more and ends up in the gutter and broke.

The hedge fund knows when to chase its losses...

LTCM being a prime example!

Sometimes however you set the clock to zero, and this is effectively a new speculation, on different terms to the other one.

Bollocks, his entire job is bullshitting fans, he can spare a few minutes to get bullshitted himself. Aside from anything else, you have repeatedly stated that ML will meet anyone. Well here's someone wanting to meet him.

Both sides need to stop dicking around. No fucking excuse for it from either of them. Of course Michael is especially stupid as it's his bid to chase. Just like Sisu are stupid because it's their stadium rental deal to chase.

Everyone is stupid. Stop sticking up for them.

I have said many a time they are as bad as each other. ML has said he will meet but just wants to talk on the phone first to get a few things cleared up.

Michael is trying to outkid a kidder.

they are making a stance for the betterment of what should be ahead in the future and have clearly stated they will finance the Northampton scenario for up the 5 years (proven to the FL) until they get what they consider reasonable. Not short term return will change that and though I hate them for it, it is the right decision for them at this time. You must try seeing this as a long term goal/issue not a short term solution that brings no security of tenure or negotiation on ownership of said Arena.

Are they really prepared to fund Northampton for 5 years, sell players and get a big away day like Arsenal funded this year, Wilson's sale will fund another but they will be running out of cash soon hence may consider a ricoh return

Fuck me bar a handful of us our owner of 5 years has been more invisible then Lord fuckin Lucan.

Like I say, I expect it from ML. But just because he's always a tosser doesn't mean he should get let off for being a tosser in this instance.

Tosser.

Ain't that the problem though? Here's Labovitch's excuses on a plate for rejecting all kinds of shit for months, even years into the future!

Like I said, you can't kid a kidder and for somebody who is quite vocal about how bad the club is, to go and do exactly the same thing makes the look a bit of a plonker.

Yep. That's exactly the problem. It's why I'm so pissed off. Rule 1 of dealing with Sisu as a fan is be completely open and down the line.

Rule 2 is PICK UP THE PHONE!

Rule 3 don't record it?

You can always then deny that you ever got the call.

Maybe they haven't told their partner and want it to be a 'nice' surprise or are worried about their reaction :D

So, TF will meet a few people at the Squirrel, yet ML wont meet KCIC before a phone call ?

That's the SCG meeting he was at this evening apparently.

Kcic may have been well intentioned but their attempt to handle the situation resembles the keystone cops on a good day.

There seems to be £1 milion raised if we take the original offer at face value. This would allow rent free football for 3 years surely.

The mystery businessman should unveil himself and take ownership of this. If sisu have an interest all past misgivings should be abondoned and the initiative seized.

If it is not and the mystery man lurks in shadows we are entitled to ask why and is this in fact just a stunt to cause mischief and mayhem - which other not so mystery men appear to have indulged themselves in the past.

It remains a mystery.
I know who it is and he is mega loaded and if he can buy our club debt free, back at the Ricoh and the fans behind the club, our club we will be back where we belong

Did he say what the few things he wanted to clear up on the phone first were?

Grendo-you can't castigate somebody for remaining anonymous and then in the same breath call out those who haven't as doing it for publicity. That this backer if indeed one exists has chosen to avoid the limelight shows s/he is in it for the right reasons.

Your propensity for contradicting yourself is extraordinary.

I think you may have missed the point of a forum... show me a thread that has practical value or intellectual consequence.

Any thread with me contributing.

I've single handedly upgraded this thread to significance just by posting this!

I agree with you, but do you think the individual investors in our club should be named too?

No.

Why should they? They're not the people who make the decisions at our Club, this is Joy Seppala.

There is no gain in revealing the investors names.

Yeah in effect they are the company, Seppala is the head of it... you invest in it in the hope of making money, the same as you own shares in ICI, Lloyds Bank.... CCFC once upon a time...

But if we were owned by an unlisted company, you wouldn't know who the investors (i.e. shareholders) were who enabled the cash to buy us.

It's a red herring that distracts from those who have the ability to affect club decisions.

The difference between that and an offer backed by people to buy the club and 'rent' the ground, is those who have the ability to influence decisions are at very different points on the publicawarenessmeter

Edit: And yes, the labyrinthine network of companies is indeed a concern...if that network masks the fact the public faces/organisations are not those with ultimate control, after all.

I think the gain is that they can be held to account for their actions good or bad. If there is nothing to hide why not reveal the names. Secrecy is rarely a good thing.

I would guess the things they want to clear up are similar to the questions being asked on here, ie - what is it actually going to cost the club as attendances would likely be over 5k. That would let them know if it's to be taken seriously or not.

I think Nick already advised what ML had said, I'm on my phone so can't find it to paste down. It was a summary rather than direct quote I believe.

I may have missed it in the multitude of pages but I thought Nick was waiting on ML to confirm that he could disclose the contents of ML's reply to him on here rather than just the one snippet of "yes I've called MO and there was no answer, I just want to clear a few things up"

Perhaps Nicks out celebrating with sisu at the sisu victory party? thats why he hasn't been able to come on and confirm either way ;)

(I'd just like to point out that the last paragraph was tongue in cheek)

But seriously. Nick if you could clarify that would be great. Cheers :)

@Nick

Did ML ever get back to you with permission to post his email to you?

Did he ever say what the few things he wanted to clear up on the phone call were?

Have you spoken to ML since he was provided with a phone number and contact from the KCIC consortium?

Do you know if he has called and spoken to someone now?

All of a sudden everything has gone quiet. Strange considering how noisy it was.
