Can’t even beat Derby for him. SHFWF.Hopefully some are not too upset by this news
i personally am. means we’ll have a harder job at offloading waggy!Hopefully some are not too upset by this news
Andy Turner is doing a better job at trying to sell our players than the club this far. Every article is about selling our stars, rather than who we’re looking to bring in. It’s weird. The last sentence is bizarre. Why mention Sheaf at all?
Interesting narrative towards the end sounds like Sheaf may have attracted interest (which isn't a surprise). Contain yourself @mr_monkey, the story is written by Andy Turner.

I think most of us could have written that without talking to Robins
Pereira's more of an attacking midfielder, plays further forward than Gus.I apologise if it has already been mention but notice Fulham has just had a bid of 10m accepted for Pereira from Man utd
Hopefully that would cool off any potential bids for anyone of ours thought I would add.

For me , it's not the speculation about out goings, like you say everyone sells, it's more of a, if we do sell then there's still no funds being made available apart from saved wagesNot so long ago we were so poor we could not give players away.
But a cup win, two promotions and establishing ourselves in the Championship it means we have attracted attention.
Obviously we now have players who teams would be willing to pay money for. It happens at every club that are doing well.
Our fans need to learn to live with speculation and not melt at every rumour. Yes we are a club that sells and always will be. Just like Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona. Every club sells players and sell top players as well.
Learn to live with the speculation because it will be there all through the transfer window. Then when itt closes the speculation and rumours will start about the January window.

I understamd that worry or fear. But we will not actually know that until we actually sell one of our best players and see what happens?
Also even if money is made available fans will expect that even more should be made available. Or assume any transfer fee will have been paid in one large sum. They also forget even a 'free transfer' incures agents fees.
You only have to look on social media to see how wide of the mark fans are around finances. They seem to think 15000 crowds, 12000 season tickets and shirts sales should have converted us into a buying club. Their expectation on those figures are unrealistic. For instance a large demographic of our fan base buying an early bird season ticket will be contributing £12 a game per person. Great value for the fan but that explains one reason why the budgets are tight.

And yet not so tight at other clubs in similar circumstances, there is a choice involved.
Robins has stated he wants 4 loan players in the defensive areas
2 x CB
1 x LWB
do we really need another RWB?

It is hard to compare the financial states between one football club and another at any given time. Paying off of previous contracts is one which is not always an appatemt on going expenditure.
Luton seem to have got rid of some of their squad and brought a few in; mainly frees and loans both ways.
Millwall it seems to be around 2 million in 2 million out.
Very simplistic maths I know. But I dont see evidence of either splashing the cash?
Perhaps you would rather we were run more like Bolton who not only squandered cash about 120m. But squandered the clearance of that debt and the 60m new investment to be back with 120 m of dent again. Or perhaps we should spend money like Derby have in recent years?
Also players we have missed out on so far seem the right type of player but location and personalities seem to have played a part as much as money.

Wouldn’t be suprised you knowCurveball: Goalkeeper?
If we only get loans but keep our best players I’d be happyFour loans doesn’t sound good. What happened to making sure we owned more of our squad? Wonder if it implies we aren’t getting the offers we thought we would and are planning for having no sales until Jan when we’ve got the option of sending loans back.
That said, with the right players that’s a fair chunk of your starting 11 you can improve.
Could start something like:
GK
Hyam CB CB
Dabo Hamer Sheaf LWB
O’Hare Palmer
Györkeres
Which honestly could look pretty tasty if those four are similar levels to the rest.
If we only get loans but keep our best players I’d be happy
