Doubt Palace will do any further loan deals with us after the Taramasalata deal in the summer

Why? They might respect Robins judgement even more? Perhaps the lad just couldn't hack the move? All sorts of things can impact on a player going out to a different club. It was sorted quickly. Somethings arent meant to be. Doesnt mean the next one might not be right for all concerned?

What time would someone need to sign tomorrow to be considered for selection on Saturday? Bearing in mind a 12.30 ko.
Has to be registered with EFL mid day before the match. So the deal would have to be done before then.

he played last week

I don’t think he did, pretty sure he hasn’t played since September?

Edit: You are correct G, played in the FA cup against Sunderland (only looked at their league fixtures)

Cheeky loan bid for Callum Chambers at V*lla who seems to be on his way out?

The quality he has he'd end up in CDM for us, him and Sheaf with Palmer and Gus in front would be decent. Probably not gonna happen, he'll end up at Bournemouth or something.

Loan centre back coming in it sounds like...

Sounds more like we are really struggling in the market again. Interested to know who the player who we may be close to signing in the summer is. A pre-contract agreement for someone from abroad maybe?

Added to this, this would be five loan players. Bringing in a striker and an attacking midfielder in this window on permanent deals is surely going to be far more difficult.

Robins said 2, probably 3 in. But Jan window very difficult, clubs top players don't move, you ask and clubs say no, one the other way round, clubs ask us and you sat no.... from his after-match on CWR...

but surely we're not after clubs top payers, i'd just take anyone who isn't shit
My take is that we have had interest/enquiries about some of our players, but at the moment we have rebuffed them. Conceivably we could be enquiring about lower division clubs decent players...??

With a bit of luck it’s Porteous

2 maybe 3 more players? Or including the 2 we’ve already brought in?

it's going to be an 18-20 year old Premier league youth player.

Then we wonder why all our defenders are bambi on ice against experienced Championship strikers when we have a defence with an average age of 20.

it's going back to the relegation days last time we were in the Championship

Keogh and Cranie were both better. But if he’s talking about a pre contract it’ll need to be someone outside England. Though I imagine if Porteous has the choice he’ll go elsewhere in the Championship

Can’t wait to have an entire back 5 of loans. Absolutely staggering.

As an aside, you use your loan allocation to bring in the types of players who have quality you can’t afford to bring in permanently. Why we insist on bringing in loans who will largely be rotation options at best is mad. Panzo and Doyle effectively brought in to compete for one position. JWE coming in as no more than rotation with Bidwell. Wasteful.

The2 January loans seem to just be filling the squad regardless of fit or ability
