Was it Haji Wright?I saw someone get tackled by about 5 stewards outside the east stand
Would have been unnecessary. Could have used a single ballboy. Was it Haji Wright?
A lot of stoke fans were told to get the bus instead of the train but weren’t told where to get the buses. A load seemed to be hanging about looking for the buses at the back of Tesco. When i went past the police were trying to explain to a group of about 20 kids where the buses were.
There's your answer, if you had shared them then they wouldn't have kicked off. Half for Stoke, half for Coventry and everyone shakes hands and is happy. I imagine the police will be onto you for inciting a riot!Anyone know what kicked off behind Tesco ? Police surrounding a pretty big group of fans and getting annoyed with other ( Cov) fans who were trying to have a go at them. They temporarily shut the main road .
I was surprised just how many police there were. Perhaps it had been going on for a bit. I'd been shopping in Tesco. A box of celebration already half gone.
Yes I saw that, then it looked like some lads were trying to put the boot in when the bloke was on the floor.I saw someone get tackled by about 5 stewards outside the east stand
Stoke's set up at home isn't dissimilar, the difference is when you come out of the away end there are buses and coaches waiting. The whole set up of the arena has been a mess from day one. The train station is some sort of 21st century folly.Hasn't been much trouble at the CBS since that first season back.
It's an absolute shit show for fans traveling by public transport. The train line will never be sorted so they should organise a proper bus service to and from the station.
Hundreds of Stoke fans travelled by train yesterday and none of them knew how to get home. This is a Championship stadium with 25,000 fans and there's not a proper shuttle service to town.
When the club were pushed on it, Boddy waffled about how there are a few bus routes back into town. That's not good enough. None of them go to the station. Most of them require fans to walk to Folshill Road.
At Stoke they do exactly that. Buses laid on outside the away end straight to the station. They would of had some knowledge of how many Stoke fans came by train. So put a bus on from the away end straight to the station.

If I has wanted to design a set up for groups of lads to meet each other in a set up that is hard to police then I couldn't have designed it better.
I still think the tunnel under the railway is only one moment of panic away from a tragic crush

It isn't the club's role to provide public transportHasn't been much trouble at the CBS since that first season back.

It’s often better to just have a last drink at the Anecdote or casino afterwards and let the mayhem die down . There used to be double decker shuttle buses outside the stadium, have they all been scrapped ?

What ?There's your answer, if you had shared them then they wouldn't have kicked off. Half for Stoke, half for Coventry and everyone shakes hands and is happy. I imagine the police will be onto you for inciting a riot!
no one used them when the did run them thoughThere haven't been double deckers to town since around 2010 I believe.
If they planned it properly, they could create a bus stand like at Reading. £5 return to Cov station.
It seems Reading funded part of it previously but pulled out this season. Even at £5.50, away fans would pay it.
Reading Buses matchday fares increased in 'unavoidable' decision
Reading FC has allegedly cut its funding which contributed to the price increasewww.getreading.co.uk
There were shuttle buses put on but no one used them so the bus company sacked them off
no one used them even when we had big crowds so there won't shuttle buses while the bus company thinks they will lose moneyAttendances are higher, especially from away fans and more people want to travel by public transport now.
Should we get to the promised land it’s likely to be 4/4500 away every game, including evening games.Attendances are higher, especially from away fans and more people want to travel by public transport now.

ok mate, i'll add this to the list of things you are clueless aboutThere haven't been shuttles since 2009? Crowds are up from then, especially away attendances. Parking is incredibly expensive now and we're in a time when car travel is being discouraged.
We must have the most difficult ground to get to by public transport in the top two divisions?
