Wouldn’t have got involved in Second World War unless they were on our beaches it appears

Scared of escalation, scared of war. Putin isn’t scared of either and there is no reason at all to think it stops with conquering Ukraine.

Where are the speeches in Parliament now calling for bombs to be dropped on Russian attack columns, as there were for bombs to be dropped on Syria?

I’m happy it’s different than the Second World War and other aggression has been allowed . I think I’m with shmmee if we are going to hit them hit them now and do it with overwhelming force

I was merely mocking the "what about" posts earlier on.

But yeah, I'm not sure what is the right thing to do anymore to be honest. Overwhelming force would kill a lot of innocent people and I think the boat may have been missed for that now? I don't know though.

You actually think the Uk should act independently of the US, the Eu and NATO and bomb Russia

sounds like a plan

Not what he said but again classic whataboutery. China and their citizens is different than Russian attacks on another country. Both wrong but one a different level to the other wouldn’t you agree

Feel for Ukraine I really do .. hope something can be sorted soon as for all the bravery ... they won't win this war

Clearly we are hoping sanctions stop the war , I doubt they will

You want me to look him out?

he invaded a country, murdered 100,000 people, mutilated women, allowed the rape of women. It makes this look like a picnic. He’s in a prison in Durham. Did you give a fuck as it all happened in Africa so didn’t effect you?

If he attacked Estonia, would NATO really leap to its military defence? I’m starting to have my doubts
This is key.
NATO never been tested. Would it start a possible nuclear war over a country of 1.3 million people?
Again a sizeable Russian minority. If the tactics are repeated will the world go to war because Russia creates another enclave of around 250000 people?

did you want to go to war with Liberia?
And wasn’t it within his country? We absolutely should have been involved. It’s no excuse but was that part of France’s empire? You seem to be saying don’t do something now to stop the thousands of deaths cause we didn’t do anything before. Ok I respect that but you’re wrong

The bigger point to make from this would be , if they attacked a NATO state and NATO sat back and did nothing there would be no point in NATO .

I personally don't think putin would do it

I’m not so sure. He can just threaten the nukes and see if NATO backs off. It is after all the main reason we have let him crack on with it, to closely phrase a certain someone.

I can’t be accused of hypocrisy I have no way of doing anything. At best it’s apathy. We can’t do everything but we can do what is in front of us to do.

well you want military action and British military troops would die. I assume you’d volunteer to go there and fight?

I think to an extent , as horrible as it sounds NATO are stuck between a rock and a hard place .

Let a non member country fall to keep global peace seems a shithouse tactic yet a solution sadly

Admit to being very ignorant on these topics but nato sounds good and is a great deterrent against attacks as shown

But if it came to actual action getting 30 countries to all agree and be acting in the same direction with so many different agendas and countries protecting self interests I think would be very difficult.

Whataboutery once again. I’ve no idea what needs to happen. Thankfully I’m not in a position to make these decisions I don’t think I could. Until you came along we were debating different ideas acknowledging that none of us knows best and working out our fear and understanding together as mates where we didn’t need to get one over one another but just needed to discuss
