God you're fucking tedious. Google him if you're that desperate to find out about him.

It was a throwaway tweet about a Russian nut job. Quite why you want to spend your time forensically analysing his background is beyond me.

So you just believe any source that adopts your good v bad narrative without question or research?

Do you understand balance Tony? Is that like voting UKIP to offset the threat of UKIP?
You’re thinking of voting brexit to punish big corporations. How did that work out by the way? I’ll check my notes. You crashed the pound inflating big corporations overseas profits sending their share values through the roof. No, that didn’t work. Maybe you voted brexit to empower the hard left. How did that work out? I’ll check my notes again. It says brexit converted them to hard right smashing the red wall and giving Boris Johnson a record majority so he could fuck you over with your blessing.

You’re not to good at this balance thing yourself.

You really don't understand the argument

What argument are you talking about? All I did was fill in your gap that this woman is a nut job herself, which she is. You couldn’t counter that so went off on a tangent which given your own history of what you thought you were voting for against what it turned out to be and your “reasoning” for doing so in the first place is a glass house of an argument for you. What I said in both cases is factually correct.

If these tanks are as effective as believed to be this could be a game changer. Especially if Russia really is sending 1950’s era tanks to the front lines. It should be shooting fish in a barrel.

Any tank is better than no tank, and those T55s can still cause damage if used properly. You'd imagine they'll be used as dug in defensive weapons.

But given Russia's tactics so far they'll probably send them out in assault, which will not end well. And yeah they got annihilated by modern tanks in Iraq.

Russia's border with NATO just doubled in size.

Another strategic masterstroke from Putin.

Similar to pre-2014 hardly any NATO forces in the "border" countries. Then a small increase. Since invasion significant increases in NATO troops and equipment in these areas and destined to stay for a long time

Undoubtedly will be used by the Russian propaganda machine. "We said NATO were looking to put more troops closer to our border. They have. NATO cannot be trusted. We can".

Same as they'll use the likes of Finland joining as NATO were always looking to expand.

Someone should have told Finland not to bother as Putin clearly won’t invade any other non NATO members on his doorstep.

Another one for the 'invite Russia for a cup of tea' folk:

Russian tea is very nice actually - many different varieties

A couple of weeks old but interesting article regarding masses of Russian tanks.

In my view:
1. There is of course the probability that Ukraine has just as many anti-tank weapons without putting their tanks in harms way.
2. The range/ effectiveness of the guns of ‘big tanks’ such as the Leopard may prove to be effective.
3. Russia is likely to use their tanks ‘dug in’ and used as artillery rather than field.

I did wonder about this idea of old tanks as artillery, turns out it's not a brilliant idea, but if you're scraping the bottom of the barrel it's a possible option. (TLDR: Nowhere near as good as proper artillery, but they will at least survive for a bit, unlike in combat against modern tanks!).

Issue with the article is that frequently reported that Russia don't have the "bells and whistles" mentioned to upgrade these tanks or even repair damaged modern ones. The high Tec bits were made from parts from the likes of Germany and France. Sanctions cut that supply route.

Fucking bastards. Yes you are right. Still out there. This Wagner group is not an army of strength. Wicked, just wicked. Putin and his Satanist West. Shoot to kill Russians but not resort to their enemies appalling actions. It just increases resolve to fight to the last man.

Russians are now beheading Ukranian captives (on video).

Yet more reasons not to give them what they want.
Obviously want to ensure all Ukrainian soldiers fight to the death. No point surrendering if you’re just trying to avoid certain death by committing to certain death. Not sure the Russians have thought this through. Not sure the Russians have thought any of it through though.

Bloody hell.

"A Russian fighter jet fired a missile at a manned British surveillance aircraft flying over the Black Sea in September but the munition malfunctioned, according to U.S. defense officials and a recently leaked classified U.S. intelligence report. The incident was far more serious than originally portrayed and could have amounted to an act of war."
