Viktor Moving on (2 Viewers)

Sporting won't sell in January, they won't be able to replace him. They'll sell in the summer as it is far easier to bring in players to replace anyone they sell in the summer window.
What choice would they have if someone meets the release clause and Vik wants to take up the offer?

And the approximate €90m they would be left with would be a sweetener.

It looks like sporting are going to qualify for the knockout stages of the champions League, which I think doesn't start until after the transfer window in january closes.

Plus Viktor wouldn't be able to play in the champions League for the new club.

He isn't going to sigh Vik

They already have enough attacking options that would score loads in the Sporting Club team and united have other weakness they need to address first

Not sure how much you watch of the PL but their attacking options are dreadful.

Zirkzee is well below the level and is already tipped for a move away and the jury is seriously out on Hojlund. I'd argue other than sorting out their midfield bringing in another ST is a priority for them in the summer.

Sorry to jump in…I do watch a bit of PL, not loads, but I did look at Utds side versus West Ham…Casemiro and Erickson in the middle?! Utd are rubbish right? Could they even afford/attract Vik?

No one is gong to meet his release clause, no one is paying €90m

Utter bollocks, Hojlund would score for fun in Portugal. Zirkzee has been there a few months, he's also scored as man PL goals this season as Nunez would scored for fun in Portugal. Also no one serious is tipping him for a move away.

There's a massive difference between the leagues.

Eriksen has been OK I think this season, but you can't ever start a pairing of those two as it's one way of the midfield being easily overrun. His contract is due to run out in the summer and I suspect it won't be renewed. Casemiro is a disaster and needs moving on - for their sake hopefully there's truth to the Saudi links.

Regarding affordability, god knows. They need a serious shake up. Having a squad full of players which no one wants and are on ridiculous wages is a pretty dire position to be in and it's going to cost hundreds of millions, potentially billions to dig them out of the hole they've made for themselves.

EtHs signings have been criminally bad, spunked so much on Dutch/Dutch league dross.

United are such a mess top to bottom. I thought Jim Radcliffe might change that but his decisions seem odd. His penny pinching and alienation of staff is grim when you consider they are paying Anthony 200k per week or something

Right so as suspected, you haven't watched a single PL game this season.

What on earth does Hojlund scoring for fun in Portugal have to do with anything?

€100m with money coming our way.

Manchester United will have to pay compensation of €10m to get a manager with 18 months left of his contract. The same manager that had talks behind his clubs back when talking to West Ham. He lost interest then because they wouldn't back his signings. Manchester United are losing an absolute fortune with their recent form. ETH wasted nearly £700m on signings. €100m is about £84m. A player and manager that admire each other. Would Viktor turn down Manchester United?

The only thing you'll ever score for fun with are tins of special brew from your landlady downstairs.

They've wasted a load of money on that Zirkzee who is absolutely wank

I don't see him going to United, better teams will be in for him and he won't want to lose Champions League football.
